How to put couplets on the door of Sanqi?
The correct pasting method is: facing the gate, the upper couplet is pasted on the right side of the gate, the lower couplet is pasted on the left side of the gate, and the horizontal batch is pasted between couplets (also called couplets). Horizontal batch should be within the scope of four points as far as possible to play a symmetrical role. Finally, measure and paste couplets.
Just remember four words to distinguish the upper and lower couplets: Pingji.
In short, look at the last word of the couplet. If the last word falls on the third or fourth sound of pinyin, it is the starting point of couplets, that is, couplets.
If the last word falls in one or two tones (also called flat tones), it is the bottom line. There are four tones and three tones at the same time, so we will follow the reverse order, and the four tones are the upper part.
History of couplet development:
Couplets originated before Qin and Han Dynasties, and in the Five Dynasties, people began to write couplets on mahogany boards. After the Song Dynasty, it was quite common for people to hang Spring Festival couplets in the New Year. In the Ming Dynasty, the Spring Festival couplets we saw today appeared. After entering the Qing Dynasty, with the development of cultural exchanges among countries, couplets were introduced to Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Singapore and other countries.
