The origin of Qinglong Palace Qinglong in Wanhuazhuang

It is said that Qinglong once lived in the sky. Because of a mistake in a rainy trip, he was demoted to Wanhuazhuang in Wuzhi by the Jade Emperor and adopted by his wife, a senior official in the village.

After the expiration of his relegation, he was appointed to live in Qinglong Cave, Beishan District, Xiuwu County, and continued to be in charge of rainfall in the north. After the Dragon King and his grandmother took off, Mr. Gao learned in his dream that his son-in-law was a dragon, so he bought a mountain as his daughter's dowry in the mountainous area where Qinglong lived, and rented the valley as an annual sacrifice. Over time, it gradually became a village, named Dowry Village. According to legend, this happened in Yongle period in the early Ming Dynasty. Wanhuazhuang and the villages around Qinglong Gorge all worship Qinglong and have a special feeling for their immortals.

Longwang Temple in Wanhuazhuang holds several days of temple fairs around February 2 every year. It is said that in the temple, people can see a small green snake crawling slowly onto a table covered with red cloth.
