Rhino advanced chamfering skill

Chamfering is a very important step in rhinoceros modeling, and it is also the most critical step in the final drawing. Here, we will focus on all kinds of chamfering problems encountered in the modeling process. We are also familiar with the chamfering tools in rhinoceros.

Select the non-equidistant edge fillet and the diameter 1, and chamfer all the frames of the model, as shown in the following figure.

Chamfering will fail, and the broken surface in the above figure will appear, so the problem we need to solve now is to repair the surface.

First, step one, blow up all the models.

Cut off the broken surface with structural lines. The so-called convenient surface breaking is the place where there are missing edges in the picture.

After finishing, we need to repair the surface.

We use the Split Edge tool to divide edge A and edge B into edge C and edge D..

be split into

Then we use the blending surface tool to blend edge c and edge d.

In order to maintain the continuity of the surface, curvature continuity should be selected here, and other models should be selected according to the chamfering needs.

Then we need to separate these faces to match the model itself, that is, sew them together.

Divide a face into a face and a face with a line.

Then use the surface joining tool to join surface B and surface D, surface A and surface C..

Then all faces are combined and chamfering is completed.

There are so many methods, the most important thing is that we need to think more in the process of dealing with fillet, and the method of fillet treatment is the key to fillet treatment.

We will continue to bring you special fillet technology, which is one of our methods to deal with complex fillet in the modeling process.
