Decathlon: an all-around sport in track and field. It is a comprehensive men's competition consisting of 10 track and field events including running, jumping, and throwing.

The all-around sport of track and field has experienced many evolutions and a process of increasing difficulty. In the ancient Olympic Games that began in 776 BC, the ancient pentathlon was held. In 1904, the content was revised and the men's pentathlon was listed as an official event of the modern Olympic Games. ② If any individual event is abandoned during the game, the total score and ranking will not be counted. ③ For individual results that require wind speed measurement, if the average wind speed per second is less than 4 meters, the record will be recognized. If the wind speed exceeds 4 meters per second, the all-around ranking can still be calculated based on the total score, but it cannot be used as the official all-around record. ④ Track events in all-around sports can use either electric timing or manual timing, but they cannot be mixed and records should be set separately.
