How do you explain "the ghost hits the wall"?
If you blindfold and try to walk in a straight line, you can't do it. You always have to lean to one side left or right. If you keep walking, your route will be an arc line. "Ghost hits the wall" is this principle. Usually, when we walk, our legs are commanded by our brains, and the brains automatically correct the direction according to the information obtained by our eyes, so people can go wherever they want. However, if the eyes can't get outside information, the brain can't effectively control the direction of walking. Because there is a slight difference in the length of the steps taken by people's two legs, there is a step difference, and there is a distance of more than 1 cm between the two feet, which leads to the deflection of the walking direction. If we go on like this, the two feet will walk in two concentric arcs, and people will turn in circles. Therefore, when walking in the dark or foggy wilderness, the eyes can't receive the reference information of the surrounding scenery, and the brain can't adjust the influence caused by the step difference, so the phenomenon of "ghost hitting the wall" may occur, which is actually getting lost.
