Maya uses distortion to make animation effects.
First open maya and enter the working interface.
Create a cylinder, and find the shortcut icon for creating a cylinder in the menu above.
Drag the left mouse button in the view area to create a cylinder.
Select a cylinder and adjust the subdivision height of the cylinder in the channel box on the right.
After adjustment, press the R key on the keyboard to scale and flatten the cylinder.
Select this deformed cylinder and find the Create Deformator menu above.
Find the nonlinear option in the drop-down menu of the create deformation menu, and find the distortion option in the nonlinear submenu.
Select the cylinder and find the attribute twist 1 on the right.
Right-click the StartAngle option and find the selected button in the pop-up menu.
After clicking the KeySelected option, you can see that there is a key frame on the first frame on the timeline.
Move the timeline time to frame 20, adjust the value of StartAngle, right-click and select the KeySelected option, and another key frame appears in frame 20.
