Where did Pang Tong, Liu Bei’s military advisor in the Three Kingdoms, die?
Pang Tong, courtesy name Shiyuan (179-214), was born in Xiangyang, Jingzhou during the Three Kingdoms period. He was known as Mr. Fengchu and was as famous as Wolong Zhuge Liang. In the 19th year of Jian'an (214), he attacked Luocheng and fought for the important territory of Shu. He was shot to death on Luofengpo by Zhang Ren, who was engaged in Shu Liu Zhang's ambush.
Luofengpo is located on the ancient post road about 2 kilometers next to Pang Tong Temple in Baimaguan Town, Luojiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It is now the terminal of the newly restored ancient post road, with rural homes on both sides. The scenery here It is beautiful, with a mild climate and simple folk customs. Next to Luofengpo, there is the real tomb built for Pang Tong. (Pang Tong’s tomb in Pang Tong Temple was built by later generations to commemorate Pang Tong, and his real tomb is next to Luofengpo.) It is said that Liu Bei personally selected this tomb for him. The cemetery is a geomantic treasure, and there is a tombstone.
