What does "getting water is the best, hiding the wind is the second best" means
The term "Feng Shui" was first proposed by Guo Pu in "The Book of Burial". The concept of Feng Shui has been introduced earlier, which is "the methods adopted by the ancients to make the vitality gather and not disperse, and to stop the movement." The methods and measures (that is, architecture) are called "Feng Shui".
The method of Feng Shui is "getting water first, hiding wind secondly"
Why should we use "Feng Shui". What about "getting water first"?
As we all know, according to Guo Pu's point of view, the inner opposite of anger is the elements. If there is a lack of water, there will be no biochemical reactions but inert elements, then there will be no life. Earth The earth will be as dead as the moon, with no living things, or in other words, it will be like a vacuum, with no elements left. Therefore, water is the most important thing. To gather living things, they must first fight and unify their inner opposites. The Book of Burial tells us, “The dragon is stopped when it crosses the water. "Dragon, that is, mountains. It is the development, movement and change of the inner opposites of the vitality moving in the earth, and its manifestation outside the earth (surface). In order for the vitality to stop, it must pass through the water to stop the dragon. If there is no water, it will stop. If it is above, it is impossible to gather the vitality. This is the second step of "getting water is the best".
Guo Pu's "Book of Burials" states: "The soil is thick and the water is deep, and the grass is thick and the forest is lush." "Water returns, mountains imprison water", "Springs and gravels are all haunted houses", "The force is like flowing water, and all living people are ghosts", all illustrate the importance of "getting water is the first thing", these are the third one.
Why is it said that "hiding the wind is the second best"?
The so-called "hiding the wind" means that the wind is the flow of air. The "Book of Burials" says that "the breath can only dissipate the air". To make the air gather and not disperse, it is necessary to take appropriate measures to hide the wind.
It should be further explained that "hiding the wind" does not mean "shielding the wind". Wind is air, and air is pervasive. Even if you build high walls and barriers, it is impossible to block the flow of air. "Collection" and cannot be avoided.
"The Book of Burial" says that "the eight winds are hidden outside and the secrets are intertwined internally", which means that if you are angry externally, you must hide the winds in all directions, that is, do not hold the air. Do it internally. Dark (secret) gathers the five types of qi. In this way, it is what the ancients said is "gathering and not dispersing."
"The Book of Burial" said: "The external qi gathers the internal qi, and the water stops the dragon." ”, Ganzhou Yang Jiupong said, “The Dragon Ends Qi Bell (Ju Ye). It means that the ancients used Feng Shui to "walk" and "stop". Therefore, the method of Feng Shui is "getting water is the first priority, and hiding wind is the second best."
