What does "29" mean?

"Jiujiu", also known as "shǔjiǔ", is a folk solar term in winter in China. "Counting Nine" begins on the second day of "Winter Solstice" at the beginning of late February of the Gregorian calendar every year. When the custom of "counting nine" originated, there is no exact information at present. However, it was popular at least in the Northern and Southern Dynasties. It is recorded in the Chronicle of Jingchu of Liang Chaomu: "The number of winter solstice days is 9981, which is the end of cold." Count nine cold days, that is, from the solstice of winter, count nine every nine days until the ninety-nine of eighty-one days, and the weather will get warmer.
