Where are the seven living buddhas?
"Golden body for hundreds of years, difficult to inherit. The world is full of shadows, and the clouds are endless. " This poem is about a seven-ancestor living Buddha in Yangmingshan, Yongzhou, Hunan Province. He was born 500 years ago and became a Buddha at the age of 29. After his death, his body was immortal, and he gathered in Manju for later generations to burn incense and worship, and was named "Master of Seven Ancestors Xiufeng" by the current emperor. More than 2,000 years ago, Sakyamuni founded Buddhism in India, which was introduced to China from Dharma. Hui Ke became the second ancestor of Zen Buddhism in Middle-earth, and later spread to three ancestors Zeng Shen, four ancestors Dao Xin, five ancestors forbear, and six ancestors Huineng. Since the sixth ancestor, Zen has not been passed down for a thousand years. It was not until the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty that the Xiufeng Zen Master was born in Yangmingshan. He became a descendant of the six ancestors, for the sake of the seven ancestors. The living Buddha of the Seven Ancestors, whose name is obvious, is really clever, with the dharma name "Xiufeng". Zheng De was born in A Zheng's family in Dongshanling Village, Lingtao Township, Xintian in the fourth year of Ming Dynasty (AD 1509), and his common name was "Zheng Xiufeng". According to the revised Genealogy of Zheng in the third year of the Republic of China (A.D. 19 14), seven ancestors fell to the ground at sea, and the night was full of auspicious light, saying that it was the reincarnation of Jin Chan. Xiufeng was smart since childhood and was familiar with the four books and five classics. Buddhist scriptures, in particular, are unforgettable. He is bent on helping all beings and saving people from the mire. At the age of sixteen, he abandoned his fame and career and traveled around the world to seek Buddha. Worship Xiufeng mountain dust as a teacher, cut hair as a monk, and take the dharma name "Xiufeng". Later, he was taken in by the wise elders of Yangmingshan, and was built in the mountain, giving him the dharma name "Zhencong" and "Xiufeng". In the thirteenth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, Master Xiufeng came to Caoxi alone, and in three years, he "realized the mantle of six ancestors", made a positive result and returned to Yangmingshan. In the 16th year of Jiajing (A.D. 1547), I began to sit on the couch at the age of 29 on the first day of August. All the teachers and disciples helped Xiufeng sit in Nirvana and worshipped him as the "seven ancestors living Buddha". Zuo Hua was immortal and dedicated to Man Ju Ji, and was named "Seven Ancestors Xiufeng Zen Master" by the emperor of the dynasty. Wang Wei of Fan Nan personally went to Yangmingshan to worship and gave a temple fair of "famous mountains for generations, living buddhas for thousands of dynasties". Since then, a bottle of seven-ancestor living Buddha has been admired by later generations, worshippers flocked to it, and incense continued all the year round, activating famous mountains and rivers, and Yangming Mountain became a tourist destination.
