The Guanyin Temple in Jinchuan, known as the "Second Potala Palace" in Tibetan areas, is a holy place of worship for Tibetan people. There are more than 200,000 tourists and pilgrims from Qinghai, Tibet, Gansu and overseas every year.
Guanyin Temple is located in Guanyin Town, about 85 kilometers away from the county seat. It is a key open temple in Aba Prefecture. The temple was built in the seventh century AD and has been passed down for 25 generations. Bai Ruochana once blessed Guanyin Bodhisattva and the Holy Mountain, and named the temple "Lechung Dechenlang". The reputation of Chuosijia Guanyin Bodhisattva spread far and wide, and many people worshiped it. Many eminent monks and great virtues have worshiped "Tuji Qinbo". Gongtang Living Buddha and Dangxiangze Khenpo took nectar water for Guanyin Bodhisattva. In 1982, the Panchen Lama personally wrote a letter expressing concern for Guanyin Temple. Guanyin Temple enshrines many gods and Buddhas, and houses many cultural relics such as Tripitaka, Thangkas, and Buddhist instruments. Guanyin Temple is famous for its spirituality and is a holy place in the hearts of many believers.
Regarding "Tuji Qinbo", it must be introduced solemnly. In Tibetan, it means "Four-Armed Avalokitesvara", and the whole process is "Four-Armed Great Sage Guanyin Bodhisattva". It is the patron saint of the entire Tibetan area and represents Great kindness, great compassion, great wisdom and great power, it is a must-practice method for practitioners of Tantric Buddhism. According to legend, King Songtsen Gampo of Tibet received an "oracle" during the consecration ceremony for Avalokitesvara in the Potala Palace. The Bodhisattva would appear in Tibet to save all sentient beings in the six realms. Later, at the intersection of the six mountains, a man named "Kejira" A young man plowed out a Bodhisattva statue that was neither earth nor stone (I guessed it was a meteorite) while farming. At this time, there were auspicious clouds in the sky, hundreds of birds were singing on the ground, strange fragrances were rising from the mountains, and the rivers were singing fairy music. So people At the place where the Bodhisattva was discovered, a temple was built and worship began. Over the past dynasties, it has been continuously renovated and expanded, and it has become the Guanyin Temple known as the "Second Potala Palace".
We set off at seven in the morning. During the bumpy journey, we staggered to sleep. At noon, we took a short break for dinner in Gurgou Town. By the way, Gurgou is a newly developed hot spring scenic spot, and the main builder is our brother unit "Chengdu Road and Bridge".
In the afternoon, amid even more bumps, I listened to the tour guide (Jigme Dorje, which means Immortal Vajra in Tibetan) telling various legends and stories (most of my words are recording and organizing the tour guide’s explanations). So with a feeling of reverence, at five o'clock in the afternoon, I came to the Guanyin Temple, which is located halfway up the mountain with the best feng shui. On the opposite side of the mountain, there is a huge six-character Tibetan mantra of the Ming Dynasty "Om Mani Pai Mi Hum" engraved on it. .
As expected, more beautiful than imagined. The temples built on the mountain are, from bottom to top, the viewing platform, the worship square, the Guanyin Hall and the side hall (the side hall is the living Buddha Khenpo The place where scriptures are taught (equivalent to a classroom), the Lotus Hall and the Padmasambhava Buddha that is being built.
I won’t describe the beauty of the architecture and Buddha statues in detail (there are tons of pictures on the Internet), but only use eight words to describe them: solemn and majestic.
Here, what is more beautiful is the human heart.
The handsome little lama, the wise old Khenpo, the beautiful Dolma, and the kind grandmother, all dressed in bright red, with clear eyes, holding beads, chanting scriptures, either turning around or praying.
The so-called prayer is to circle the main hall and turn the prayer wheel, making 108 small turns and 10,800 large turns. One circle is about 60 meters. Even if you do small turns, you have to walk more than six kilometers a day.
The so-called "big prostrations" means prostrating yourself on the ground, with your hands, forehead, and chest touching the ground before it counts as one prostration. Three prostrations are a group, and 108 groups are lightly practiced, and then it increases in a geometric progression (I heard that An old khenpo spent 38 years worshiping hundreds of millions of times, and all the Guinness records were left with shame in front of him).
I can’t help but think: The fundamental difference between humans and animals lies in thought, and the highest state of thought lies in faith. Only faith can make people’s energy, such concentration, make people’s body and mind, Such a healthy person (walking more than six kilometers a day or doing a lot of whole-body exercise, will you still lose your appetite to eat or have insomnia while tossing and turning?).
The good times always pass quickly. The sun will set before we know it, and we must leave reluctantly. Looking back at the temple going further away, the red walls and golden tiles standing quietly in the afterglow of the setting sun are as beautiful as an oil painting without a frame. It is deeply imprinted in my mind, my heart, and my heart. In the song (poetry)!
