Oxfam trailwalker
Four people with eight legs and one heart walk a hundred miles to help the poor. Since 1986, more than 50,000 participants have raised more than US$ 220 million for this activity to support Oxfam's poverty alleviation and relief work in Hong Kong, Chinese mainland, Africa and other parts of Asia, and to help poor people improve their lives and become self-reliant.
Oxfam Trailwalker is a challenging team activity.
Participants must form a four-person team:
Day and night, cross 100 km MacLehose Trail within 48 hours.
Support and encourage each other along the way, overcome all kinds of difficulties and challenge the limits of physical fitness.
Organize support teams, plan trips, and practice at least three months in advance.
Oxfam Trailwalker, formerly known as Trailwalker, was founded in 198 1 as a fund-raising activity to test the endurance of the British army. 1986 Oxfam was invited as a co-organizer and opened to the public for the first time. After the evacuation from Hong Kong in June, 5438+0997, Oxfam invited other service organizations to cooperate and organize walkers to raise funds to help the disadvantaged groups in Hong Kong and help the poor people in Asia and Africa to stand on their own feet.

Although the weather was hot on the first day, the highest temperature was 27.9 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity was as high as 93%, but the completion rate still exceeded 80%.
Securicor completed the 100-kilometer MacLehose Trail in 12 hours and 38 minutes, winning the championship for three consecutive years!

Miss Yu, who loves hiking, is facing the double blow of serious illness and the death of her mother in the process of practicing "Oxfam Trailwalker". Miss Liu Hairuo, the female anchor of Phoenix TV, came to Hong Kong from Beijing. She not only presided over the launching ceremony, but also set foot on MacLehose Trail with more than 3,000 contestants!
After coming to Hong Kong, Miss Liu Hairuo attended various activities nonstop, and together with Mr Bernard Chan, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Oxfam Trailwalker, and Dr. york chow, Secretary for Health and Welfare, promoted the spirit of Oxfam Trailwalker-perseverance and caring for others.
Miss Zheng suffered from colon cancer many years ago. After a long and arduous recovery process, she once again challenged the 100 km MacLehose Trail and won the "Dover Perseverance Award" when she successfully completed it.
