The steps to turn a cloudy day into a sunny day in PS:
1. Open PS and first import a dark picture.
2. First click on the channel in the menu bar to find a channel with obvious contrast in the sky. In this picture, the blue channel is more suitable, so select the blue channel and click the "Selection Command" below , will soon be supported by Sky.
3. After obtaining the sky selection, save the selection as a backup. Click on the right side of the "Save Selection Command". After clicking, you can see multiple selection channels alpha1. Then return to rgb, return to this layer, and ctrl+d to cancel the selection.
4. Next, copy column 2 of Figure 1 to Layer 1, ctrl+a (select all), ctrl+c (copy), ctrl+v (paste).
5. Enter the channel menu, click the alpha1 channel, click Load Selection, and call the selection.
6. Return to rgb, return to the layer, we only need to add a mask on layer 1, and then get the mask based on the selection just made. At this point you can see that the sky has been replaced.
7. Use a brush with a hardness of 0 and a slightly larger size to paint some areas that you think are problematic to restore them to their original state. There is a very obvious effect on the mask, the lower half is black and the sky is white.
8. Adjust exposure and color temperature through curve and color level commands. Click on the mask and then select Levels (ctrl+l) to adjust the feel of the branches.
In fact, by this point, the cloudy effect has basically been transformed into a sunny one! Isn’t it awesome? After learning this PS technique, you can change the tone of the photos you take in the future, no matter how gloomy they are~
