Why is "Overwatch" Genji called Genji? Why is Farah called Faji?
It comes from the Japanese pronunciation; it comes from the appearance and the strength of its combat effectiveness in different environments.
Source of "Foundation": The Japanese spelling of Genji is げんじ, and the Roman character is genji, so many closed beta players will see Genji's name translated into Genji when playing the English version. Therefore, it is basically based on our usual pronunciation of Pinyin.
Japanese romaji is a notation used to use Latin letters to represent the pronunciation of Japanese kana. The corresponding romaji of each kana is marked to facilitate reading.
Genji: Main weapon: shuriken; special abilities: wall climbing, double jump; hero positioning, functions, and characteristics: side battlefield, harassing enemy backline heroes, super mobility.
Backstory: The cyborg Genji Shimada embraces the enhanced body he once rejected, and in doing so discovers a higher level of humanity. He lived a prosperous life and had no interest in his family's illegal business. He is passionate about a free life and is proficient in and enjoys ninja training. Many in the family considered him a dangerous liability. After the unexpected death of the family daimyo, Genji's older brother, Hanzo, was asked to take a more active role in the empire his father had created. But Genji refused, so the two brothers turned against each other and Genji himself was seriously injured. Hanzo believed he had killed his brother, but did not know that he was rescued by Overwatch and under the care of Dr. Ziegler. The global peacekeeping organization believes that Genji will play an important role in the operation against the Shimada family. However, due to serious injuries, he was unable to fight normally. Overwatch would rebuild his body, but Genji must serve loyally for Overwatch. Genji then gained a powerful body.
Pharah is called Pharaoh: Because his national uniform is called Pharaoh and the helmet he wears looks like a chicken head, everyone calls him Pharaoh for entertainment purposes.
There is also a saying: "Farah is not as good as a chicken when he lands." This sentence comes from Pharah's combat characteristics: Pharah has always been a hero with a high appearance rate due to its high-damage splash firepower and powerful combat characteristics of jet flight. It can be used in most open venues. To cause trouble for the enemy in the air, whether the attacker is destroying the enemy's firepower points at a fixed point or the defender is suppressing firepower from a high place to impede the enemy's advancement, Pharah is a good choice. Obviously, it looks the same as its appearance. Air combat is more lethal. But the disadvantage is that it is not suitable for narrow indoor combat and the airborne stage, and it can easily become the target of enemy snipers, so it is jokingly called "not as good as a chicken when landing".
