"Running in Changsha" has not been to these places, you are definitely running in fake Changsha
Compared with other cities, runners in Changsha are really happy. Relying on the characteristics of "Landscape Island City" and its achievements in urban and garden construction in recent years, Changsha has created several running holy places for the general public. I checked them one by one and sorted them out for Changsha and runners who come to Changsha to choose from. If you have never left running footprints here, I can only laugh at you for running to fake Changsha.
1 Juzizhou Park
The undisputed NO.1 running destination in Changsha. Orange Island is located in the center of the Xiangjiang River in Changsha City. It is one of the many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River. Looking at the famous Yuelu Mountains to the west and the ancient city of Changsha to the east, it is surrounded by water and green trees and is known as the "First Continent of China". A lap in the core area of Orange Island is about six kilometers. The terrain is flat and the scenery is beautiful, making it very suitable for running. Especially when you are tired, looking up at Grandpa Mao's generous and wise eyes will immediately revive you. Being able to run freely in 5A-level scenic spots every day for free is probably rare in other places.
2 Yanghu Wetland Park
The first, second and third phases of Yanghu Wetland Park have been completed. It is divided into wetland leisure area, wetland biodiversity display area, wetland ecological conservation area, and wetland science and education area. The terrain is open, the scenery is pleasant, and there are many modern sculptures, which are both wild and modern. In particular, the stunning appearance of the sea of flowers in the third phase further enhances the appearance of Yanghu. Spring, summer, autumn and winter are all at your disposal.
3Baxizhou Water Park
Like Orange Island, Baxizhou is also one of the alluvial sandbars in the center of the Xiangjiang River, but it is almost at the southernmost end of Changsha City. It is better than Orange Island Much more remote. It has only been two or three years since it was completed and opened to the public. It can be regarded as a rising star that has been raised in a boudoir and unknown to people. The scenery is just as beautiful, but there are far fewer people, making it perfect for a reunion run. Especially in the golden autumn with beautiful wind and sunshine, it is so refreshing to run through the long plank road and dense reeds.
4 West Lake Park
Changsha West Lake Park (formerly known as Xianjiahu) makes full use of Changsha’s profound historical and cultural resources and Yuelu Mountain’s unique cultural and natural landscape advantages to display and express Changsha. It is a comprehensive urban park integrating business, tourism and vacation that focuses on historical, cultural, leisure, entertainment and tourism services. A lap in the core area is about 3 kilometers. Although it is not as famous as West Lake in Hangzhou, it is more peaceful when running.
5 Liuyang River Scenic Belt
The Liuyang River makes many turns in Changsha City. The scenic belt along the river has basically been completed, and there are many sections suitable for running and cycling. Especially when you run along the west bank near the Liuyang River Wedding Park and under the Wanjiali Viaduct, the road is flat for several kilometers, which will definitely bring you a good mood without restraint. It will be even more enjoyable if you sing the melodious song "Liuyang River" with Hunan style and Hunan rhyme.
6 Martyrs Park
Martyrs Park is the province’s largest comprehensive garden integrating commemoration, sightseeing and entertainment. It is located in the northeast of Changsha City. According to its natural terrain, trees were planted on the mountains to create gardens, and lakes and pavilions were built in the depressions. The park is full of green trees, green grass and exotic flowers all year round. Running is good, but there are quite a lot of people.
July Moon Lake Park
Changsha Moon Lake Park takes the aura of mountains and rivers and takes up the Feng Shui of the portal. The overall planning of Moon Lake Park takes "water" as the core and focuses on the "new" The concept, the concept of "culture" and the concept of "ecology" closely follow the main theme of the regional city in terms of theme positioning, highlight ecological leisure, promote Hunan culture, and demonstrate the spirit of the times. Running among them is a sense of tranquility and contentment amidst the hustle and bustle.
8 Songya Lake Wetland Park
Songya Lake Park is located in Xingsha, covering a total area of 489.62 hectares. With Songya Lake as the core, a comprehensive park has been built based on the lake, mountain scenery and natural ecology, integrating leisure, tourism, entertainment, fitness, water activities and other functions. A full circle around the lake is about less than ten kilometers. If you meet someone who is interested, you can run a trajectory that looks like a Christmas tree.
9 Jianshan Lake Park
Jianshan Lake Park is an original ecological area with beautiful natural scenery that integrates mountains and rivers in Lugu. It is an urban comprehensive park featuring original ecology, integrating culture, leisure, fitness and entertainment, with beautiful landscape and strong service. It has not been open for a long time and there are not too many people here. The only downside to running is that the terrain is not very flat.
10 Meixi Lake
Meixi Lake is located in a key area for the development of the Dahexi Pilot Zone, and is surrounded by a green ecological demonstration city. The total planned area is 32 square kilometers, extending to the West Second Ring Road in the east, Lei Feng Town in the west, starting from Fenglin Road in the north, and reaching Taohualing and Xiangbiwo in the south. Although there are many tall buildings all around, they still can't hide the aura of a pool of clear water. The green hills are like green, the trees are shady, and there is a refreshing taste in the air. A full circle around the lake is about ten kilometers. It was a little regrettable that there was a short distance that could not completely go around the lake, so we had to run onto the road.
11 Binjiang Cultural Park
Binjiang Cultural Park is a new bright spot in northern Changsha and a new cultural landmark. Rivers (Xiangjiang River, Liuyang River) meet here, and three buildings (Planning Hall, Museum, Library) stand here, and are connected to the continuous greenway of Beichen Riverside Park. It is not only a cultural gathering place, but also an excellent place for running. Running here can be called "circling three halls in one circle and crossing the river in two steps."
12 Yuelu Mountain
Yuelu Mountain is 300.8 meters above sea level. It is one of the 72 peaks of Nanyue Hengshan. It is located in the national AAAAA (5A) level tourist attraction Yuelu Mountain-Juzizhou tourist area. It is a national level key scenic spots. It is also one of the four major maple viewing spots in China. The scenery is beautiful and best enjoyed while running. Although there is a slope, it adds to the fighting spirit and has an off-road flavor.
13 Jinjiang River Greenway
In the north of Yanghu Wetland Park, a long greenway has been built along the Jinjiang River, with a one-way round trip of nearly ten kilometers. It is extremely flat and quiet, making it the most suitable place for runners to train without any distractions and improve their performance. If you finish running with your friends and you can find a boat on the river that provides meals, a few simple dishes, and a bottle of light wine, it will be considered a pleasure in the world.
14 Xiangjiang West Bank Scenic Belt
This should be the longest continuous greenway in Changsha City. Starting from the starting point of the greenway under the Heishipu Bridge, we run under the Xiangfu Road Bridge, the Jinjiang River Old Bridge, and the Monkey Stone Bridge in sequence. You can run along the river to the vicinity of the Juzizhou Bridge. It is quite enjoyable. It is a half-marathon back and forth. There is no problem. Compared with the noisy and crowded east coast, running on the west coast feels many times better. The world is vast, the scenery is picturesque, and the rivers are rushing with you all the way.
