How to avoid frostbite when fruit trees overwinter? What preparations should be made?

This year's cold weather came a little early, and it was fierce, and the degree of cold was a little bigger than in previous years. Practice has proved that cold weather comes early in winter, and the degree of cold is great. When trees are cut down in the next winter, there are more rot diseases. Of course, the trees are weak, the years are serious, there is too much watering in the later period, or too much rainfall, and there is too much nitrogen fertilizer in the orchard, especially the young trees and autumn shoots can't stop growing on time. These factors can make fruit trees freeze in the cold winter and the cold wave strikes. How do fruit trees survive the winter safely? Fruit farmers should do the following.

1. In fruit areas with watering conditions, drip irrigation and infiltration irrigation will do, so be sure to water them fully. When you cut a tree in winter morning, you will find that the branches are full of water, which is a bit hard when you cut it. At noon, the branches return to their original state, that is to say, when the water is sufficient, the cells of the branches freeze, because the freezing point is zero, so the cells of the branches will not freeze at zero.

2. For young trees (annual) newly planted in high altitude fruit trees, they can be pulled down and buried for cold protection. Don't be afraid of trouble. If the young trees freeze to death, the losses will be great.

3. For 2-3-year-old young trees, you can paint the whole tree white, or you can wrap it around the trunk with grain and grass to keep out the cold. For big trees, the trunks of fruit trees in cold areas should also be painted white. The formula of antifreeze whitening agent is as follows:

1 kg talcum powder plus 1 kg corn flour or wheat flour plus 20 kg water plus 4 liang washing powder (to increase adhesion) and 3 liang salt. There are several kinds of recipes, and this is just one of them.

4. Don't prune in winter in cold weather, that is to say, 1 February and1month of the solar calendar are best not pruned in winter. Professor Cao Keqiang's research shows that the freezing injury at the cutting edge of fruit trees is the main factor causing rot.

5. If the area of fruit trees is large and cannot be pruned in cold season or spring, it is necessary to protect the pruning distance of fruit trees when pruning in cold season. (1) regardless of the cutting distance, should apply healing agent, can't stay overnight. If the cutting distance is more than two centimeters in diameter, a piece of paper should be attached to the repairing agent. This will have a good anti-freezing effect and the wound will heal well next year. (2) After the slit on the trunk and the extra-large slit on the main branch are pasted with paper, it is better to wrap a layer of plastic film, which is more conducive to protecting the slit of the fruit tree. In short, all kinds of cold-proof measures must be taken before the cold wave strikes, so that fruit trees can survive the winter safely.
