Zhu's surname source
Zhu Xiang's family was appointed minister in Fu, and was sealed in Zhu (now Zhecheng County, Shangqiu, Henan Province), with Zhu as the totem. Later, Zhu Xiang became "Emperor Yan". Zhu Xiang's family lived in Zhecheng County, Henan Province for three generations, and his descendants took Zhu as their surname.
