How to adjust the motorcycle mixing ratio more accurately

From the color of the center electrode of the spark plug, we can also roughly see whether the mixing ratio of the carburetor is too thin or too rich. Under normal circumstances, the electrode center should be brick red. If the spark plug is white, the mixture is lean; If it is black, the mixing ratio is too rich.

The performance of carburetor directly affects the speed, power and fuel consumption of motorcycle. Of course, we can make the carburetor reach a relatively ideal state by adjusting the mixing ratio screw.

Take the most common GY6 carburetor as an example. The mixing ratio screw is at one end close to the cylinder head, mainly to adjust the oil quantity. When we turn this screw inward, the oil supply decreases, which means that the mixing ratio becomes a little thinner. If the screw rotates outward, the oil supply will increase at this time, while the air entering will remain unchanged, and the natural mixing ratio will increase.

Extended data consumes a lot of oil, so the throttle needle should be adjusted instead of the mixing ratio screw. One or two squares can effectively control fuel consumption, but there will be phenomena such as insufficient motivation, slow acceleration and high-speed eating. As far as my own experience is concerned, the low-speed power of spark plug burning brick red is really average;

It is very important for the acceleration of low-speed cars in cities, so the cars turn dark red, so that there will be sufficient power output at medium, low and high speeds. In fact, as long as the spark plug burns well, there is no need to care too much about fuel consumption. If the mixture is too lean, the fuel combustion speed of the engine will decrease, the engine will overheat and the output power will decrease.

It is difficult to start, and it emits black smoke after starting. It is a sign that the mixture is too rich, so the oil needle should be adjusted by one grid, and the idle mixture should be carefully adjusted according to Method 2.
