Prose about traveling through Xuanwa Mountain

Accompanied by travel companions, it takes 3 and a half hours to cross westward from Xuanwa Mountain to the gate of West Wudang Mountain (also known as Jinggudui, and also called Naitou Mountain by locals).

Both Xuanwa Mountain and Xiwudang belong to the Niutoushan Mountains, a branch of the Longshan Mountains. From there, you can reach the border of Gansu via ancient roads, and there are obvious ancient road relics along the way. It is said that people were still coming and going during the Republic of China. Nowadays, there are thick bushes with dense branches and leaves, blocking out the sky and the sun. They are connected by nine curves and snakes are circling. The roads are sometimes wide and sometimes narrow. Lacquer trees that look like toon are everywhere, which makes people feel intimidated. His feet quickened his pace.

Unfortunately, the pace of the travel companions behind was slower, and there were many forks in this section, so we could only wait where we were. "Taibai Ranger" accidentally ran away and disappeared. He called several times but received no reply. My brother is in his sixties. He is light and quick. He is often in front of the team and disappears without a trace if he is not careful. Last time when we were crossing the Tangluo Ancient Road, a man broke away from the team on the beam. We heard about it two days later. This time everyone unanimously decided to keep him behind the team. During the break, I somehow managed to sneak up to the front and leave alone. But we were all old donkeys, so we weren’t worried, but we might have to take some wrongdoings.

Sure enough, when we arrived at the Seibutang gate, we were nowhere to be seen. Lao Zhang went to the front to look for it. It turned out that when he cut to the bottom of the mountain and approached the highway, there was a straight cut of more than 3 meters. The highway was right in front of him and he could not get down. He couldn't even walk a few turns. Finally, under the guidance of Lao Zhang, he dragged his tired body to join us.

Entering the gate of Xiwudang, there is a wide dirt road, which seems to be built as a tourist attraction. Then, Dashuichuan and Lingbao Gorge in Xixiangquan Town have been built into tourist attractions. Modern transportation and uniform landscapes are facing the wind. The dancing colorful flags and the bustle of people have washed away the simplicity and tranquility of the mountains and fields. It's more like a modern bustling city, with a group of profit-seeking businessmen and impetuous people.

Tourism and travel enthusiasts are two completely different things. While the government has not bothered to develop the tourism industry here, we and other travel enthusiasts can quietly enjoy the natural scenery and cherish it!

This area is called the Xishan Mountains by Baoji people and has a historical allusion. It is said that the hometown of Empress Changsun of the Tang Dynasty was in Sunjia Village, today's Xiangquan Township. Empress Changsun, who was in Chang'an of the Tang Dynasty at that time, suffered from breast disease that could not be cured for a long time, so she went home to relax and visited famous doctors. When she arrived at Xishan, she was so upset that she left her entourage and walked alone. Walk towards the ravine.

Before I knew it, I was far away from the main road. At this time, the sun is shining brightly and the blue sky is like washing, and the colorful floating clouds are floating in the sky. Along the road, the vegetation is green, the water is gurgling, butterflies are flying, phoenixes are dancing, birds are singing and flowers are fragrant.

In the crystal clear stream, the fish played freely, and I suddenly felt relaxed and happy, feeling much more comfortable.

Empress Changsun was tired, so she sat on a huge rock by the river, enjoying the beautiful scenery of her hometown, and fell asleep unconsciously. In the dream, the Jade Emperor expressed his sympathy for the illness, and the Empress Changsun wept and complained, saying that the Jade Emperor stirred up water from the river to cure the empress' illness. A gust of cool wind passed by, and Changsun woke up. It turned out that he was in a dream. But touching myself, the breast disease has been cured. I can’t help but sigh, my hometown is so beautiful, and it’s a blessed place in my heart.

After returning to Chang'an, Taizong Li Shimin ordered local officials to find the ditch where the queen entered, the river, and the mountain she saw. Local officials drilled into the mountains and ravines, walked high and low, and searched all over the Western Mountains. Beautiful scenery like the queen's description abounds, including rivers such as Liuchuan River, mountains such as Jiulong Mountain, Fengquan Mountain, Xuanwa Mountain, and ravines and canyons such as Lingbao Gorge. What is even more surprising is that Jinggudui looks like that. I dare not say what it looks like.

So a lot of construction work was done to build temples to worship the gods. It is said that when the civil engineering work of repairing Xuanwa Mountain was about to be completed, the roof tiles were transported to the foot of the mountain, waiting for manual transfer to the mountain. A group of people went down the mountain to transport the tiles to the foot of the mountain. They waited left and right, but no bricks or tiles were seen. In confusion, there was no brick or tile on the mountain. People are running down, the tiles are all on the house, what are you porcelain hammers doing in such a daze? Let’s go, let’s set off a firecracker to celebrate, then call it a day and close the door!

In the evening, we set up camp in Xiwudang, where we made tea, drank tea, looked at the moon and talked about love, raised glasses and drank freely, as if we were bathed in the spring breeze. The fragrance of flowers in the valley moves with the wind, wisps of flowers, whether present or absent, light or strong. Smell the earthy smell, listen to the dancing butterflies and the chirping of cicadas, watch the sunset, as red as blood, look forward to the morning sun rising, with a halo of confusion.

I lament that half of my life has been empty-handed; I want others to be young and famous, rich and successful in everything. Think again or laugh, you envy others, others envy you.

As the saying goes: The cloud wishes to be a bird, and the bird wishes to be a cloud.

In the temple and above the high hall, there are rules that may not be violated. Seeing the prosperous temple fair in Xuanwa Mountain yesterday and the devout good men and women, I couldn't help but respect them. People must have faith, believe that people have a future, and believe that good will be rewarded with good and evil will be rewarded with evil. The believers in Xuanwa Mountain are all from surrounding villagers, and there are also believers from other provinces such as Gansu and Ningxia. According to the old man who keeps the temple, a temple fair alone can collect more than 300,000 yuan in donations, all of which come from the folded hands of old men and women who have eaten the dough and have wet tofu. They firmly believe that they will have a good escape in the next life. They firmly believe that The descendants can live in peace and be proud of their ancestors.

Brother Zhang told a story that is dubious. The alms in the temple cannot be touched casually, as there are gods watching over them. A young man did not learn well and stole several hundred yuan from the alms box while the temple attendant was away. When the temple attendant came back, he was not in a hurry and did not look for it. He just told him to send it back. A few years later, an old lady sent money, saying that something had happened to her son, and she wanted to take the money and return it to the temple. Whether it was true or false, it was just a legend and coincidence, is unknown.

Go further up the campground and continue climbing along the steep winding path until you reach the top of Jinggudui. Next to the two pine trees is the place where the ashes of Master Xiang Baowen, the outdoor ancestor, are laid.

After placing the sacrificial fruits, lighting firecrackers and paper money, and evenly scattering the white wine, everyone bowed to the master in memory. Recalling every detail of Master Xiang's outdoor life, I am especially in awe of Master Xiang's calm face of difficulties without flinching, his determination to face death and his refusal to do nothing for treatment. I express my admiration for the sincere friendship of my fellow travellers, and I am in awe of Master Xiang's choice of Feng Shui treasure land. Extremely envious.

Standing in the wind, blending into the mountain, the light and shadow of the branches are swaying, and the heartbeat is rippling with the wind. It is quiet and broad, natural and harmonious.

Outdoor is sports; outdoor is attitude towards life.
