Tan Song has 68 households with more than 200 people. It has a mountain forest area of more than 6000 mu, and the oil tea forest is near 1000 mu. Tan Songren relies on mountains to eat, and democracy needs tea (Tan Songcui Lan, Tan Song Cui Hao, Qimen black tea, etc. ) and wood (fir, pine, etc. ) is the main source of income. Villager Dai Guanghui once wrote a couplet praising Tan Song Forest Tea.

Qisongchi, looking around at the pavilions of precious trees, is as desolate as the forest and the sea, and goes down to Yuntai, exploring the heavy springs, connecting the sky from top to bottom, painting green in spring, shading in summer, dyeing golden red in autumn, wearing silver armor in winter, and changing clothes all year round. Although it has gone through many vicissitudes, it is still flourishing, and tourists claim to be tutting.

Xiuxi Meiling, a mouthful of fragrant tea, is like Lansing, as far as before the Tang Dynasty, and it has been famous for generations. Selling America in the east, Indonesia in the south, Britain and France in the west and Sumatra in the north, connecting old friends from all corners of the country. Although it has been repeatedly stir-fried, the taste is still mellow and fragrant, and tourists have been talking about it.

The village is surrounded by mountains and planted with fruit trees, which are fragrant all the time. There are many kinds of pears, peaches, plums and grapes, especially dates. There is at least one plant in every yard, and there are countless in front of and behind the village. Tan Song Jujube is very famous in the local area, and many tourists come to date in August and September every year. The Shuikou windbreak forest in front of Tansong Village in Qi Hong Township is the largest existing ancient Shuikou forest in Qimen, with an area of 1.90 mu, which is like a green barrier, sheltering the whole village from generation to generation. The whole feng shui forest covers the sky, and the ancient trees are towering, which is a spectacle. "Bird path is on the mountainside, with thousands of giant trees", which is a rare ancient "natural botanical garden". "Five Thousand Villages in Huizhou" published by Huangshan Bookstore in 2004 has a description of "seeing pine pools in deep mountains and old forests".

The ancient forest in Tansong village is now divided into two parts: the forest at the entrance of the village and the forest behind the village, also known as the lower forest and the upper forest. Among them, the village forest is the main mountain, and the main mountain range of the village forest is called Tiger Mountain. Tan Songren believes that Feng Shui forest plays the role of "hiding wind to get water" and protecting "life", so it is forbidden to cut down and destroy it. Fengshui Forest has been managed by Dai Ancestral Hall. Notice is issued every year, and it is forbidden to bring knives and axes into the forest. Dead wood firewood in the forest is only allowed to be picked up by lonely old people with bare hands, and offenders are punished according to clan rules.

Since Dai moved to the village, there have been 15 generations. A long history of management and protection and unique natural conditions have formed such a spectacular ancient tree community today. The geomantic forest in Tan Song has continued from generation to generation and is still flourishing, which is inseparable from the meticulous protection of the Dai people. Fragrant fruit trees have the ability of "sprouting roots and tillering", and the phenomenon of "single tree forming a forest" often appears. At the distance of10m, there are two fragrant fruit trees with roots and tillers, both of which are18m in height and 20cm in DBH. In addition, there is a big beech tree and a Betula luminifera. The former is nearly 30 meters high, the trunk is smooth, round and full, with the same thickness from top to bottom, and the age of the tree is over 100 years. The latter tree is 25 meters high and has a bust of 2 meters. It grows on the edge of the forest, with lush foliage and heroic spirit. There is also an old Ailanthus altissima with a height of 3 1m, a bust 1.8m, a branch height 16m and a crown width 10× 10m. Although this tree is old, it is still flourishing, and it "stands on its own feet and stands erect in the HarmonyOS system". Ailanthus altissima is a deciduous tree with wide adaptability. The ancient name "Ailanthus altissima" was recorded in Shan Hai Jing as early as. Its tree shape is particularly beautiful in winter, and countless branchlets gather evenly in the outer crown to form a mushroom-like oval tree shape. Whether it is the first frost or the first snow, it contains the exquisiteness and charm of ancient times.

There is also a precious tree species Taxus chinensis in Tan Song ancient forest, one of which has a history of more than 300 years. Its trunk needs many people to hug, its four seasons are evergreen, and its crown stands like a huge green umbrella in the ancient forest. Taxus chinensis, also known as Taxus chinensis and Pinus densiflora, is a shallow-rooted plant with inconspicuous main roots and developed lateral roots. It is recognized as an endangered natural rare anticancer plant in the world and an ancient tree species left over from Quaternary glaciers. It has a history of 2.5 million years on earth. Due to the slow growth rate and poor regeneration ability of Taxus chinensis under natural conditions, a large-scale raw material forest base of Taxus chinensis has not been formed in the world for a long time.
