Details of Hangzhou sea-crossing bridge.

Hangzhou Bay Bridge is a convenient passage for China national highway trunk line-Tongsan Line (Tongjiang, Heilongjiang to Sanya, Hainan) to cross Hangzhou Bay. The bridge starts from Zhengjiadai, Haiyan, Jiaxing in the north and ends at Shuilu Bay, Cixi, Ningbo after crossing the wide Hangzhou Bay, with a total length of 36 kilometers, of which the bridge is 35.67 kilometers long. After the completion of the bridge, the land distance between Ningbo and Shanghai will be shortened by 120km.

The bridge is designed as a two-way six-lane expressway with a design speed of 100km, a design service life of100 years and a total investment of about11800 million yuan. The bridge has two channels, the north channel bridge is a rhombic steel box girder cable-stayed bridge with twin towers and double cable planes with a main span of 448 meters, and the navigation standard is 35,000 tons. Nanhang Road Bridge is an A-shaped steel box girder cable-stayed bridge with single tower and double cable planes, with a main span of 3 18m and a navigation standard of 3,000 tons. The remaining approach bridges adopt prestressed concrete continuous box girder structures of 30 ~ 80m. The bridge is guaranteed to start construction in 2003, and it is planned to be completed in 2008 and opened to traffic in 2009.

"A bridge flies north and south, and the natural danger becomes a thoroughfare." Hangzhou Bay Bridge in Ningbo is the longest bridge in the world. At the same time, the Third Line of China Coastal Passage, which also stretches for thousands of kilometers, is the first span across the Gulf Graben with expressway instead of ro-ro ship. The construction of Hangzhou Bay Bridge in Ningbo is of great and far-reaching strategic significance to the rapid, healthy and coordinated development of Ningbo and even the regional economy and society. The construction of the bridge is conducive to connecting Shanghai, improving the level of Ningbo's opening to the outside world, promoting the process of economic integration in the Yangtze River Delta region, improving the layout of expressway network and national trunk lines in the Yangtze River Delta region, alleviating the traffic pressure of Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway, building Ningbo into a transportation hub in the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta, further enhancing regional advantages and promoting the coordinated development of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai tourism.

The Secret of Hangzhou Bay Bridge

On the eve of the foundation stone laying of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, yesterday (June 7) afternoon, Wang Yong, commander-in-chief of Ningbo Hangzhou Bay Bridge Command, answered the reporter's questions on the concerns in the bridge construction at the press conference:

First, the long bridge lies in waves.

Reporter: Why did Hangzhou Bay Bridge adopt the design concept of "long bridge lying on waves"?

Wang Yong: In the design of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, we first adopted the concept of Wuyue culture in Zhejiang, Shanghai and Jiangsu. On the bridge type, the designer adopted the form of West Lake Su Causeway, which integrates transportation and sightseeing. In order to consider the hydrological environment characteristics of Hangzhou Bay, the design of "Long Bridge Sleeping Wave" outlines the plane of the bridge as an S-shaped curve. The beautiful and lively bridge shape makes drivers and passengers feel happy when driving and riding.

Second, the underpass.

Reporter: There are strange tides in the world in Hangzhou Bay, and ships pass by. Does the construction of the bridge mean that tide watching will not continue? The route is blocked?

Wang Yong: Hangzhou Bay is one of the three strong tidal bays in the world, and typhoons and tornadoes formed by microclimate have chaotic velocity and direction. The design of "Long Bridge Sleeping Wave" is also based on the safety of the bridge. We reserved a passage for the strange tide in Qiantang and the passing ships. The entire 36-kilometer-long bridge has two underground passages with widths of 448 meters and 3 18 meters respectively. The clearance under the bridge is high and the flow speed is fast. The northern channel is reserved for ships of 35,000 tons, and the southern channel is reserved for ships of less than 3,000 tons. At the upper ends of these two navigation channels, there will be two sculptured bridge towers, namely the rhombic twin towers and the A-shaped single tower, which become two ups and downs in the "long bridge lying in waves" bridge type, and qiantang bore will naturally pass through.

Third, the platform in the sea.

Reporter: It is said that there is an offshore platform in the middle section of Hangzhou Bay Bridge. Is this platform in danger of blocking the tide?

Wang Yong: We built an offshore platform similar to the East China Sea oil platform on the muddy beach 0/4 km away from Nan 'an/Kloc-. During construction, it will serve as the intersection of north and south, which is convenient for logistics. After the construction, the platform will become a transfer station in the bridge integrating rescue, sightseeing and leisure. This platform is as big as two football fields. Are you going to build it? Climb the tower and overlook it. When the weather is clear, you can see the pier of Anton Shuiluwan Village, which reaches Cixi in the south and Zhengjiadai in Haiyan in the north. So this platform is not affected by trends.

Fourth, giant construction sites.

Reporter: The amount of earthwork and steel used to provide the world's first long bridge will be a huge astronomical figure. Will so many materials enter and leave Hangzhou Bay, causing sea congestion?

Wang Yong: Building offshore bridges on land will be the characteristic of our bridge construction this time. Wang Yong said: Cixi is a big city that reclaimed land in 800 years. From a pond to the present 10 pond, the land in the pond is flat. A flat beach will pave the way for tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of builders, so the Hangzhou Bay Bridge will be prefabricated, industrialized and large-scale. Finally, offshore construction is realized by building blocks.

The atmosphere of the whole conference was warm. More than 200 journalists from home and abroad agreed that the world's longest sea-crossing bridge, which will be laid on the 8th, will become an example of dialogue and challenge between human beings and nature with its complex workload, landscape, scientific and technological content and construction environment, leaving a glorious page in the history of bridge construction at home and abroad.

This bridge of "people walk easily and goods flow smoothly" can shorten the distance from Shanghai to Ningbo 120 km, which is beneficial to the linkage of the Yangtze River Delta.
