What are the fun places in Linping, Hangzhou?
Hangzhou Linping has Chaoshan, Jingshan, Jiufeng Gongxiu, Yuhang Twin Towers, Dusong Sanguan and Linping Mountain.
Chaoshan, a plum-viewing resort, is located between Linping and Tangqi. It is one of the three major plum-viewing resorts in the south of the Yangtze River, along with Suzhou Dengwei and Wuxi Meiyuan. Chaoshan Plum Blossom is famous for its three unique features: "ancient, strange and vast". Before the Anti-Japanese War, plum trees were planted all over the mountain, so it was known as "Ten Miles of Fragrant Snow Plum". There are one branch each of Tang plum and Song plum, and the varieties include calyx green, iron-bone red plum and other exotic species. When you climb to the top of Yunmei Tower at Chaofeng, you can have a panoramic view of the plum sea for dozens of miles. Chaoshan was originally an ancient temple called Baoci Temple, and the Daming Hall was originally used for paintings and stone carvings of Guanyin statues by Taozi of Tang and Wu Dynasties. On the west side of the hall are the tomb of Wu Changshuo and the stone statue of Wu Changshuo, which were destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution". It was restored in 1980 and the Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall was built in 1985. There are many strange rocks in Chaoshan, among which Haiyun Cave is the best.
Jingshan is located in Changle Town, with Jingshan Temple on its top. The main bank of Jingshan Mountain is named Lingxiao Peak. It is surrounded by peaks such as Duizhu, Daren, Pengbo and Yansi. "The five peaks are arranged in a row, which are ingenious and profound". There are also mountain peaks such as Panyun and Jiguan all around, which are ups and downs. There are also landscapes such as Longtan Waterfall, Dongpo Inkstone Washing Pool, Songyuan Tianfeng, Lingyan Drinking Stone, etc. In the Song Dynasty, Su Dongpo visited Jingshan Mountain twice and left behind a famous saying: "The mountains come from Tianmu Mountain, and they are like thousands of horses rushing to the plains." There have been many tourists in the past dynasties, including poets and writers. The road now reaches the top of the mountain.
Nine peaks stand at the foot of Tianzhu Peak in Dadi Mountain, where Dongxiao Palace, one of the 36 Taoist caves, is located at the junction of Zhongqiao Township and Lin'an County. The main peak of Dadi Mountain is called Jiusuo Peak. Next to it are Tianguan, Zangyun, Lingxu, Longyin and other nine peaks. The peaks are linked together, hence the name. The stone square at the entrance to the mountain is engraved with "Nine Peaks and Arch Show". Walking along the stream, passing Fengming, Huixian and Yuandong bridges, you will arrive at the gate of Dongxiao Palace. The scenery on both sides of the strait is wonderful, including the Green Dragon Pavilion (which means "green dragons dancing in springs under the courtyard" in Su Shi's poem), lions and elephants guarding the gate, phoenixes returning to their nests, sky pillars standing on the wall, the Great Dichen Heart, and the Great Di Cave. , Qibing Cave, Guiyun Cave (in Lin'an County).
There are twin towers in Yuhang Town. One is in Anle Mountain, named Anle Tower, also known as Tianbao Tower and Female Pagoda. It was built in Wuyue and is seven stories high. The other is on the north bank of Tiao River, named Shugong Tower. , also known as Dibao Pagoda and Xiongbao Pagoda, was built in the Ming Dynasty and is a seven-story square pagoda. Both towers still exist and have been repaired.
Dusong Pass is located at the junction of Baizhang Township and Anji County. The pass is still there, located at the junction of two mountains. The gate was set up with two layers, and in case of war, it was closed tightly. The space between the two gates was filled with stones. The defenders were condescending after closing the gate. It was like "one man can guard the gate, and no one can open it". Two miles behind the pass is Dusong Village, which is connected to the pass by a corridor and is where the garrison is stationed. There are Baizhang Pass and Youling Pass on the left and right, collectively known as the "Three Dusong Pass". They are located deep in the bamboo sea, with beautiful scenery, dangerous terrain, steep mountains and dense forests, which are amazing. ("Yuhang County Chronicles" Part 14, Culture, Page 733)
Linping Mountain is located in the north of Linping Town, the county seat, and is lonely and helpless. In ancient times, there was Linping Lake in front of the mountain, and the mountain was named after the lake. In the Song Dynasty, Linping was the first stop on the east-northbound route of the Hangzhou Waterway. There were original pagodas on the mountain, and both the mountain and the pagoda were symbols of travelers approaching Hangzhou. In the Tang Dynasty, Linping had become a tourist attraction with 14 scenic spots. There is a thin cave on the top of the mountain, also known as Dragon Cave.
