The beautiful legend about Tenglong Cave

A long time ago, my hometown Lichuan was a vast sea, and the Tujia ancestors made a living by fishing on the sea. The Dragon King specially sent a dragon to look after the sea and help the Tujia ancestors fish and boat. However, this arrogant dragon specializes in making waves, making the sea restless day and night. The complaints of the Tujia fishermen alarmed the Dragon King. In anger, the Dragon King invited Pangu, the creator of the world, and the Thunder God to suppress demons. In an instant, there were thousands of golden lights and thunder in the sky. Pangu held a mountain-breaking ax and struck at the dragon with the God of Thunder. The dragon knew that his crime was unforgivable and that he could not escape punishment, so he risked his life and plunged deep into the seabed... With a bang, the sky collapsed and the earth collapsed. The dragon dug a deep and long hole in the seabed, and the seawater flowed along the ground. The cave mountain roared away like a tsunami. When Pangu and the God of Thunder saw the dragon huddled obediently in the hole where they had dug themselves, they immediately felt compassion and let it live. Within a few days, the sea water had finished leaking, and the vast sea of Lichuan miraculously disappeared. Only countless beautiful mountains and rivers protruded from all sides, and a crystal clear river in the middle. Later generations called it Qingjiang, winding and twisting. , roaring towards the entrance of the cave...

The vast sea of Lichuan has since become a mythical Feng Shui treasure land. In the east, there is Bijia Mountain with a jade pen facing the sky; in the south, there is Babao Mountain, where the Eight Treasures Alchemy is made; in the west, there is the Qiyue Mountain Wanli City Wall; in the north, there is Tenglong Cave and Wolong Tunjiang River. Tujia people have lived and multiplied on this beautiful land for generations, living and working in peace and contentment.

"Ah! Wolong swallows the river, Tenglong Cave has arrived." I don't know which classmate shouted loudly, interrupting my thoughts. Looking up, there are several strange peaks and ridges towering into the clouds, as well as sheer cliffs, which are daunting; eagles are circling high in the sky; the golden sunshine makes the fallen leaves turn golden in late autumn; the Qingjiang River has disappeared. On the right side stands a large, dark cave entrance. The top of the cave entrance is engraved with three elegant and elegant characters "Tenglong Cave" handwritten by the late Grandpa Wang Renzhong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. About fifty or sixty meters away from the bottom left of Tenglong Cave, there is another cave entrance slightly smaller than the entrance of Tenglong Cave. It is like a crouching dragon opening its bloody mouth and swallowing the Qingjiang River in one gulp. The spectacular Qingjiang River suddenly disappeared without a trace. It is the "Wolong Tunjiang River" that can be called a wonder in the world, and the Tujia people call it the "Sinkhole".
