What exactly does it mean when purchasing corn?

The state stipulates that the moisture content of temporary storage corn must not exceed 14% to be qualified corn. Every time it exceeds 1%, the quality of the corresponding moisture will be deducted. For example, the moisture content of 100 kilograms of corn is 16%. If it exceeds 2%, the real corn quality is: 100 kilograms - 100 kilograms X 2% kilograms = 98 kilograms. If the price of corn is 1.5 yuan/catty, then 98 catties should be sold x 1.5 yuan/catty = 147 yuan.

The purchase price of corn for national temporary storage is 1.11 yuan per pound of standard product. The national standard third-class corn produced in 2014 is used as the standard product. The specific quality standard is:

Test weight 650 grams /L ~ 685g/L (including 650g/L, excluding 685g/L); the content of imperfect grains is within 8.0%, of which moldy grains are within 2.0%; the moisture content is within 14.0%; and the impurities are within 1.0%. The price difference between adjacent grades is 0.02 yuan per catty.
