Teaching, what's the difference between teaching and education?
These three are inseparable, but there are also differences. Teaching, as its name implies, is to teach students to understand and remember the contents of books, which can be repeated in exams; Teaching is completely different. This word has been expressed very clearly. It should be to teach students to learn and master learning skills. Modern society is an era of knowledge explosion, with new knowledge every day. It is not enough to study only books. Only by mastering the learning skills can we constantly accept new knowledge and adapt to the needs of the times. The core of education and educating people lies in the word "education", that is, to cultivate a "natural person" into a "social person" through various means. People in modern society need not only book knowledge, but also innovative quality and civilized quality. The task of education should be to urge students to "learn to study, learn to do things, learn to cooperate, and learn to be human", as proposed by UNESCO. We often say "teaching and educating people". It is good to teach and educate people now, but just teaching students to cope with various exams obviously fails to achieve the purpose of educating people. Some people think that teaching means that I speak and you listen, which is wrong. Teaching is not indoctrination, not one-way information transmission, but two-way communication; Teaching needs necessary narration, but narration is by no means a report. Teachers can't explain the knowledge clearly, but should guide students to take the initiative to operate. Through teacher organization and "directing" teaching activities, students' emotions and hearts are touched. Whether a teacher can become a good teacher and effectively implement the teaching process does not depend on how high a teacher has academic qualifications and profound knowledge, but on whether he has the ability to design every step of the teaching process, whether he can be a good director and actor in the implementation process, and whether he can mobilize every student's emotions into the teaching process. In order to implement the teaching process well, teachers should first carefully design every step of the teaching process. Design must strictly follow the requirements of curriculum objectives; We must fully consider the personality differences of each student. The acceptability of each student must be considered in the teaching process. There is a good saying: educators have no right to choose the students who can be educated, but only the education methods that students can accept. This is more important in basic education. We can regard each class of a teacher as a long series of episodes, with dozens of episodes in a semester instead of hundreds. This "series" cannot be interrupted or repeated. In each episode, the teacher is not only an actor, but also a director, and the students are not just spectators and participants. The teaching process is to involve every student, arouse their emotions, and let them learn knowledge and get the education they deserve. Every episode should have a climax and a "watching" point. If it is straightforward, it will inevitably attract students' attention and interest. When a class is unattractive and students are not interested, it is bound to be a failed teaching process. Some teachers often complain that students are "inattentive" and never consider how their courses are designed, which is unfair. The core idea of "people-oriented" put forward by the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is more prominent in education, because the objects of education are all living people, and "all for students, all for students, all for students" should be the highest principle of education. The essence of the teaching process can be summarized in four sentences: the process of information exchange, the process of emotional exchange, the process of soul collision and the process of artistic creation. The process of information exchange. The relationship between teaching and learning is the fundamental problem in the teaching process. Teaching and learning are two contradictory aspects, and teachers' teaching and students' learning should be unified. However, in traditional teaching, the two are isolated and opposed, forming a "I speak and you listen"; I ask, you answer; I write, you copy; I will give you the unilateral activities you received. The teaching process should be two-way communication between teachers and students, mutual communication and mutual inspiration, and sharing each other's thoughts, experiences and knowledge in this process. Especially in today's information age, the means of knowledge dissemination have been varied, and teachers are no longer the only owners and treasure houses of knowledge. Without communication and interaction, it can't be real teaching. The process of emotional communication. Man is an emotional animal, and every behavior is dominated by emotion, so is learning. Teachers can't communicate with students emotionally in the teaching process, and the teaching process can't produce substantial results. In the process of information exchange, there should be emotional communication factors. In the past, we can often see such a phenomenon: a teacher's education is not high, and his knowledge is not very profound, but he can understand students well, grasp their thoughts and emotions, and communicate with students in a timely and appropriate manner. The teaching effect is very good and very popular with students. Some people may think that this kind of emotional communication is only possible in literary and art disciplines. In fact, the so-called emotional communication, the teacher's grasp of students' psychology and emotions, exists in the teaching of any subject. The process of soul collision. The learning process of students is not only a process of accepting knowledge, but also a process of forming character. In this process, on the one hand, students will expose all kinds of questioning, confusion and contradictory psychological States, and at the same time, they will also show their unique personality. Teachers should attach great importance to this point in the teaching process. Only by attaching great importance to and respecting every psychological performance of students and striving to achieve the effect of * * * is the best education. Especially in the basic education stage, children are still in the growth stage, and a teacher's words, actions, some kind of care and teaching may have medical reactions and even affect their lives. The process of artistic creation. Teachers must not become the mouthpiece of the subject system in the implementation of teaching, nor can they simply teach students book knowledge in an orderly way, even if they have completed their tasks. A good class should make students become cheerful and happy in class, with more and more positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning. As mentioned above, every class of the teacher is an episode in a long series. Then, the artistry and acceptability of each episode is a great challenge to the teacher's artistic creation ability, which may be an artistic creation process that is more necessary than creating a series, because every scene is broadcast live and absolutely not allowed to be reworked. The author put this principle into practice. 1997, once at the invitation of a friend, I went to a training school to be a teacher in a synchronous training class for senior two. Generally, the teaching of this synchronous training course is not complicated. It should be said that through a week of course combing, strengthening the key points in the course and finding some more targeted exercises to consolidate, it has reached the requirements. Before taking this course, I considered the following questions: students give up their rest and come here to receive my guidance. Their psychology is active and eager to learn, but also passive and helpless. If I can't understand them, there will be emotional obstacles; These students come from different schools, so I can't fully understand their mastery of the course content. It is impossible to give them targeted counseling. Simply telling them what to listen to will not achieve the effect of information exchange. Moreover, these courses are all heard by students in my own school, so if I tell them again, there is nothing new, which will definitely arouse their interest. Do exercises. Students have done enough at school. If they still do exercises here, they will be annoyed. It is really a big challenge to learn such a course well, unless I just earn a little extra money and deal with it according to the routine, which is not allowed by my responsibility. That's what I did. On the first day of class, the head teacher in charge of this class told everyone: We have invited experienced teachers to give you classes this semester, so you should concentrate on listening and take notes carefully. After the head teacher left, I told you: I don't ask you to "listen attentively" or "take notes carefully". The whole class was surprised when this language came out. From their expressions, they could see that their hearts were touched. They have never seen such a teacher. I further explained that if I didn't speak well, it wouldn't help you. It is unreasonable to force you to listen to me attentively. If you think what I say is useful, you will naturally listen attentively. You are free to come to class, how to listen is up to you. I can do anything as long as it doesn't affect my lectures. As for taking notes carefully, it is unnecessary. Taking notes must be selective. Don't copy what the teacher said on the blackboard. You didn't give up your rest and come to class here to train your note-taking skills. We are a remedial class. You have all heard what we said at school, but you didn't understand it at that time. Listen to me today. I don't understand what I don't understand. Now I understand what I didn't understand before. I'm afraid to forget it. If I feel it necessary to write it down, just write it down in your notebook and go back and have a good look. Only in this way will your study be helpful. "This passage basically achieved the effect of" emotional communication "and" spiritual collision ". Although we met for the first time, we didn't know their names, personalities and characteristics, nor their learning level. But the distance between me and them has narrowed, which has laid a good foundation for future "information exchange". After class, the head teacher asked me if I wanted to print some questions for the next class. I said no need. My class is like this: according to the requirements of a week's course, I wrote ten exercises worth thinking about when preparing lessons. Write these exercises on the blackboard in class. As soon as I finished the first question, my classmates copied it habitually. I'll stop them from copying at once, let everyone think it over and see what to do. There are several answers that they can discuss freely. After writing ten questions, set aside another 20 minutes for them to think and discuss, and encourage students with ideas to fill in the answers on the blackboard automatically. The students in this class come from all schools in the city, and the degree is very uneven. Some of their ordinary schools are not as good as some key schools, and they don't know each other, so it is difficult to come up automatically. I repeatedly reason, from learning attitude to learning methods, and encourage them from everyone's personality requirements in the new era and new situation. These truths can't be repeated, but can only be interrupted in time according to the actual emotional performance of everyone on the scene without affecting thinking. The effect is very good. Gradually, more and more people actively participated in the teaching activities, and I learned their understanding of the counseling content. Next is my main task. Let me comment on their answers. My comments generally have three parts: methods to solve such problems; Knowledge related to such problems; And the mistakes that are easy to make when doing this kind of problems. I call this teaching method "draw inferences from others", which is to give a typical example and talk about three aspects. In my speech, I asked them to write down what they thought was the most valuable according to their own needs. Everyone spent two hours quickly in such a relaxed and happy atmosphere. I don't know if this is the creation of teaching art, but one thing is certain, it is very popular with students. At first, there were more than 30 students in this class, and later it grew to nearly 60 students. They all heard about my teaching methods and moved in. Now there is a generally accepted standard that whoever teaches a course with high test scores is considered a good teacher; Teachers who can help students get test questions are considered to be the most capable teachers. Is it reasonable for a teacher to take pains to make up lessons and give guidance to students endlessly, and be regarded as the most responsible teacher? Can it be recognized by the educated? Once, the child came home and said to me, Dad, do you care about the teacher? She studies in our school. I said: tube, dad tube teacher. What happened? She told me: which math teacher in their class, the lecture wheel, can't explain clearly. As soon as there was a self-study class, she came in and said that she would make up for it. The students are particularly annoyed with her, but they dare not say anything and want me to reflect it to you. I said, well, I'll attend your class tomorrow. I went the next day, which was really a problem. The concept is not clear, and there is no more explanation except in the book. The main means is to ask students to practice repeatedly. This kind of teaching is really boring, students don't like it, and it's normal to be disgusted. But she is an "excellent teacher" and an "advanced party member" in the school, mainly because she can work overtime for free and take pains to give guidance to students. We say that the spirit of working overtime for free is really valuable, but teaching is not manual labor. What is needed is not to spend time, but to use your brain and heart. Teaching is to make students move from ignorance to knowledge. Middle school students are not a blank sheet of paper, they already have a lot of known things. Our teaching can't be scripted. Students should be guided to know the unknown according to their "known" situation. This is why the same textbook should have different starting points and teach children in rural areas and cities in different ways. The most important thing in teaching is to focus on guidance, and the core of heuristic teaching method is guidance. The purpose of guidance is transformation, and the teaching process is to make students have a transformation in their cognitive level and knowledge structure, so as to achieve the result of "opening their minds", and the ultimate goal is to transform from a natural person into a social person and adapt to survival and development in society. Teaching is by no means indoctrination. Teachers are not output machines, and students are not recipients. Human knowledge is constantly enriched, and students can't accept it all. Books have limited knowledge and are generally outdated (at least a year ago). Every adult knows that the knowledge learned in middle school is not directly used in practical work. The purpose of offering various courses is not to ask students to memorize those knowledge, but to enlighten the brain and improve their thinking ability. That kind of indoctrination that requires students to memorize is by no means the right teaching method. Therefore, everyone's teaching methods can be different, but they must achieve the purpose of "guidance", "transformation" and "enlightenment". The merit of "teaching, guiding, transforming and enlightening" should be every teacher's goal.
