In the summer of 1938, the First Division of the 169th Division of the Chinese Army fought fiercely with the Japanese invaders on Bangchui Mountain, and half of Wenfeng Tower was blown away.

Wenfeng Pagoda (also known as Wenfeng Pagoda) is the highest ancient pagoda in Pingyao. The pagoda is an octagonal, seven-story solid brick structure with dense eaves.
