What is the reason why I came to the port city of Jinzhou and didn't go to see the sea?

That year, my trip to the seaside continued. When I came to Jinzhou, I thought that the city was a little more than 20 kilometers away from the coast, so I planned to stroll around the city first, and then see the sea in Jinzhou. However, because of Jinzhou's profound culture, I stayed in the city for two days, which also took up the time to see the sea. In the end, I couldn't go to the seaside in Jinzhou. This is the only time I haven't seen the sea in a port city since I traveled from the south to the north coast.

So, what attracts me in Jinzhou?

Jinzhou is a transportation hub connecting Northeast China and North China, and was once the capital city of western Liaoning. However, for many tourists, it may be famous mainly because it is the site of the Battle of Jinzhou. Today, a memorial hall in Jinzhou can let us know the whole story of the battle and its significance in detail.

According to relevant historical data, Jinzhou Campaign is an important part of Liaoshen Campaign. Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall is located atNo. 1, Section 5, Beijing Road, Linghe District, Jinzhou City. The panoramic painting of "Conquering Jinzhou" in the museum combines sculpture, sound, photoelectricity and other technologies to show the audience the battle scenes of that year in detail. I walked in and had an immersive feeling about the battle.

During the visit, I met a senior volunteer translator at the scene. Although he looks very old, his explanation is simple and vivid, and his historical knowledge is very comprehensive and detailed, which makes me have a strong desire to know more about that battle.

After coming out of the memorial hall, I also saw the nearby Liaoshen Battle Martyrs Cemetery and the Liaoshen Battle Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower. I see the memorial tower consists of the tower body and the top of the tower. At the top of the tower is a bronze statue of PLA soldiers shouting with guns. Among them, the bronze statue is about 6 meters high. The front of the tower is also inlaid with gold-plated characters inscribed by Marshal Zhu De: "The revolutionary martyrs of Liaoshen Campaign are immortal."

This tower was built to commemorate and cherish the memory of the revolutionary martyrs who died heroically in the Liaoshen Campaign.

In the memorial hall, I learned that the Liaoshen battle site and the Fenshuichi battle site are still preserved in Jinzhou city, and I can't wait to see them. I took a bus for about 20 minutes and arrived near the construction site. I found its exact location on the slope near Renmin Street in Guta District, Jinzhou City, northwest of Liaoshen Campaign Memorial Hall.

There is a gray building with a basement in the site, and there is also a house that was estimated to be the duty room at the gate at that time. The construction of this website is chic and exquisite. There are many bullet holes in the outer wall of the site, which reminds us of the fierce battles in history.

When I went there, there were old people living in it to look after the site. The old man is very enthusiastic. Once she sees tourists coming in twos and threes, she will enthusiastically explain and guide them to visit the basement.

When I visited the site, there was still a messy yard around me. It is understood that a park has been built for local people to relax and exercise, which is very beautiful.

After visiting the ruins, I walked south along renmin street and soon came to Jinzhou Zoo. The scenery in the zoo is good, and there is a beautiful lake, which also adds a lot of feminine atmosphere of Jiangnan gardens to the northern city of Jinzhou. That day, I stood by the lake for a while, enjoying the beautiful scenery and admiring the profound history of Jinzhou. In an instant, I found that I liked this city.

Jinzhou is famous for its huge ancient buildings of Guangji Temple, including Tianhou Palace, Guangji Temple Tower and Zhao Zhong Temple. In addition, Jinzhou Museum with rich collections is also integrated with the ancient buildings.

After I visited Jinzhou Museum and learned about the history of Jinzhou, I walked into the ancient courtyard of Tianhou Palace. This is a quadrangle-style courtyard, full of ancient houses, masonry doors and windows, which looks very simple and vicissitudes. The bricks, stones and wood carvings here are particularly exquisite, showing superb skills.

My favorite building in Tianhou Palace is the one built at the northernmost part of the central axis. It was built on a very high platform, decorated with the image of dragons and phoenixes at the top, and guarded by many stone lions of different shapes next to the platform, making the whole hall very majestic and lifeless.

Jinzhou Tianhou Palace was built in the third year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (AD 1725). It was originally a palace built by merchants in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian to pray for the blessing of the Queen of Heaven. Among them, the Hall of the Great Heroes enshrines the statues of Mazu and the Four Seas Dragon King.

It is understood that Mazu has this person, formerly known as Maureen, whose ancestral home is Meizhou Island in Putian, Fujian. She was smart and talkative since she was a child, but she had a loving heart, never got married, and finally died because of a shipwreck.

Mazu, also known as Tian Fei, Tianhou and Notre Dame, etc. , is the most popular belief in the southeast coast of China and even in the coastal areas of East Asia, so she is known as Poseidon, the sea god. Now, Mazu belief and custom have been included in the intangible cultural heritage of mankind.

At that time, I had been to Meizhou Island in Putian, Fujian. The buildings on Mazu Island are very huge, and there are a constant stream of believers. Among them, a white Mazu sculpture by the sea is very tall, staring at the sea quietly, which is particularly eye-catching under the blue sky and white clouds.

The ancient buildings of Tianhou Palace are common in Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other coastal areas, but they are really rare in Jinzhou in the north. It can be seen that Jinzhou's maritime trade and maritime commerce are very prosperous in history.

After coming out of Tianhou Palace and Zhao Zhong Temple, I soon walked into the Guta Park, which is also the seat of Daguangji Temple. There is a tall stupa, and almost every tourist will look up.

I also stood under the ancient pagoda and studied it carefully for a long time. I saw that it was a brick eaves type, about 57 meters high. On its eight faces, each face is carved with a threat of Buddha, three treasure covers and two flying objects. Unfortunately, some flying objects may fall off because of clay sculpture or long time, leaving only vivid traces.

This ancient pagoda was built in Qing Ning of Liao Daozong (1057) for three years, and the locals called it Liao Tower.

After walking out of the ancient buildings of Guangji Temple, I wandered around the old streets nearby and ate some delicious food from them. It seems that I can find the good old days of Jinzhou here. The local people warmly recommend the delicious dried tofu in Jinzhou, which is characterized by "dry, thin and fine". It is said that it is very popular in Northeast China.

Another thing that interests me in Jinzhou is that it also has a university named after the sea, that is, bohai university. I walked into this university located on the road of science and technology and took a look. Campus buildings are beautiful in atmosphere. A clear river connects the quiet lake. From time to time, students are studying, and many tourists take pictures here, which makes people feel very warm and romantic.

According to reports, Jinzhou is an important port city in Bohai Bay, where the sea surface is very calm. On a sunny day, the blue sea brings infinite reverie. Moreover, Bijia Mountain next to Jinzhou Bay is also very distinctive. With its "ebb and flow" characteristics, it is known as the unique spectacle of Lulian Island in the world.

Unfortunately, because I only arranged for two days in Jinzhou, I could only watch the coastal tour there from a distance, and I didn't have time to get close to it. This is also my first time in a coastal city, and I didn't go swimming in the sea. But this situation also gave me a good reason to travel to Jinzhou again.

Little Handsome Man Strolling in China-Coastal Tour-Jinzhou (4)

In winter, we go to see the sea.

In fact, the sea there is the same all year round.

Just like our lives,

Daily oil, salt, sauce and vinegar

Often surf the internet and buy online.

However, standing in front of the sea in winter,

This is courage and strength,

It is also a comfort after losing.

Life is ordinary,

Life could have been interesting.

It depends on whether you want to see the sea or not!

All rivers run into the sea, and the sea is vast.

In winter,

We will still go to see the sea.
