Confucius in Zizhong Confucian Temple, uncharacteristically, is an elegant statue.

Zizhong Confucian Temple was built in Yongxi period of Northern Song Dynasty. At that time, there was no uniform regulation on the statue of Confucius. Some temples are statues, some are sitting statues, and some are statues; Some are stone carvings, some are wood carvings, some are clay sculptures, some are portraits, and some are for memorial tablets. Because Zizhong is the hometown of Changhong, and Changhong is Confucius' teacher, Zizhong people stood in the special environment of Confucius' teacher's hometown instead of sitting in accordance with the theory of "respecting teachers and attaching importance to education" advocated by Confucius all their lives, and presented the ready-made statue of "Old Master Q Station" as the Shaw mansion in the new lane of downtown. This stone statue is not tall, but according to the historical records of Zizhou in the geographical annals of the Southern Song Dynasty, this stone statue was actually "made by masons during the legend of the Three Kingdoms" and was a rare and precious cultural relic at that time.

This stone statue has been erected in Zizhong Confucian Temple for more than 500 years. By the ninth year of Jiaqing in the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Jiaqing thought: "People are mainly saints, and saints take Confucius as king." Confucius is the most sacred, but after all, he is a minister and should not be king. So he ordered the whole country to "go to the statue, set up a wooden Lord, and stop the Jue." This move is called "correcting the name", even the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province is not spared, and the "Old Master Q statue" of Confucius Temple in Zizhong is also doomed. Since then, God has been replaced by a "wooden owner" (a wooden memorial tablet).

The statue of Confucius in Zizhong Confucian Temple in Sichuan is 3.85 meters high, 65 centimeters higher than that in Qufu, Shandong, and weighs 7 tons.
