Why is the weather different in Liuzhou and Guilin?

There are several reasons.

First, compared to other cities in Guangxi, Guilin has a relatively high latitude, so it will be cooler.

Second, the mountainous areas of Guilin are relatively high in altitude, with Maoer Mountain being the highest peak in South China, and the temperature is relatively low.

Thirdly, Guilin is located in the Hunan-Guangxi Corridor. The Hunan-Guangxi Corridor is a gap in the Nanling Mountains. In winter, the cold air from the north will go south along these corridors. Guilin will be wrapped in cold air when it is on the corridor, making it cold. Other places are blocked by mountain peaks and the cold air cannot reach them, so it won’t be cold.
