Changji has the characteristics of cold winters, hot summers, and large temperature differences between day and night. The annual average temperature is 6.8°C and the annual average precipitation is 190 mm.

Changji’s annual sunshine hours reach 2,500-3,500 hours. Due to the sudden heavy snowfall a few days ago, the current average temperature is about 12 degrees, but now the temperature is rising quickly, and by May the temperature will reach about 28-30 degrees. Generally, the highest temperature in Changji is between July and August. Sometimes the highest temperature is about 40-45 degrees, but the temperature difference between morning and evening is large. It is relatively cold around January every year. The lowest temperature every day from January to February this year was below -15 degrees, and the coldest time was around -25 degrees.
