Rules and rituals for going to new graves

Don't visit relatives and friends after going to the grave, and don't drop by.

The order of offering sacrifices to sweep the grave is to sweep the grave first, that is, to clean the cemetery. Secondly, sacrifice, this procedure is very important, one is to mourn, and the other is to feel the same way with the ancestors, because the mountain has a spirit without a master, and the ancestors have a master without a spirit. Only by feeling the same way with the ancestors can we better obtain the aura of mountains and rivers. Remind friends that this is feng shui.

When sweeping graves, people come to the cemetery with food, wine, fruit, paper money and other items, offer food to the graves of their loved ones, then burn paper money, cultivate new soil for the graves, repair the graves, fold some fresh green branches and put some paper money on them to show that there are descendants in the graves, and then kowtow. Avoid wearing red and green clothes to the grave.

Going to the grave is a mourning activity for future generations. It is forbidden to wear bright clothes, heavy makeup, gold and silver jewelry, frolic and take pictures. Avoid going to the grave in the morning and after dusk.

The countryside pays attention to it, and the best time to go to the grave is the afternoon before sunset, because the yang is strong during this period, and the yin is heavy at other times, which is not conducive to future generations. Don't have weeds in the grave. There is a saying in the countryside that when a new grave is added, paper money will float in the back grave, but without the back grave, the grass will last forever. When you arrive at a new grave, you should add new soil to your ancestral grave, remove weeds from the branches and leaves, especially graves with branches, or there will be diseases after the roots are wrapped around the coffin.
