It originated in Maoershan, the highest peak in South China, and is one of the main sources of Lijiang River. There are threshold pools, Dalongtan and Xiaolongtan in the water lane. The forest vegetation in Longtan River Canyon is intact, and ancient trees on both sides of the river form forests. After the incident, the local authorities immediately organized search and rescue.
