Weather conditions in Zhijiang

Rainfall data were reported in the whole province 17 cities. The pH value of urban precipitation is 3.42 ~ 9.32, and the lowest value appears in Huangshi City (the fourth quarter). Acid rain occurred in 12 cities, accounting for 70% of the reported cities. The average pH value of annual precipitation in each city is between 4.58 and 6.90, among which the average pH value of Xianning, Yichang, Yidu and Zhijiang is less than 5.6, and that of other cities is more than 5.60, but that of Xiangfan, Jingzhou and Enshi is between 5.68 and 5.72, which is close to 5.60.

The cities with more than 20% acid rain frequency are: Xianning 70%, Yidu 53.2%, Zhijiang 39.2%, Jingzhou 32.4%, Yichang 28.7%, Enshi 2 1.4%. There is no acid rain in Xiaogan, Suizhou, Qianjiang, Tianmen and Chibi. Acid rain pollution is the most serious and extensive in the fourth quarter of a year, followed by the first quarter. Among the cities in the province's acid rain control area, the average annual precipitation pH value of Xianning, Yichang, Zhijiang and Yidu is less than 5.6. Compared with the previous year, the average annual pH value of precipitation in more than half comparable cities increased, and the frequency of acid rain decreased. Among them, the average pH value of precipitation in Enshi increased by 1.28, the acid rain rate decreased by 19.6%, and the acid rain in Xianning and Zhijiang also decreased by more than 20%.
