When will the rainy season end? How can we prevent mildew at home?
When will the rainy season end?
The annual rainy season is basically from mid-June to the first half of July, sometimes it may be longer or shorter than this time.
The annual rainy season lasts for about one month from early June to early July.
Meiyu refers to the weather and climate phenomenon that occurs in a certain area and a certain season. Meiyu is a unique weather and climate phenomenon in East Asia and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China.
The annual rainy season basically lasts from mid-June to early summer in mid-July. The middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China refer to a period of continuous rainy weather within the range of 28°-34° N east of Yichang, or from Jianghuai Valley to a narrow area in southern Japan.
In early summer, there are often long rainy days in the Jianghuai basin. At this time, the utensils are easy to be moldy, so it is also called "moldy rain" or "mildew" for short; It is also called "Plum Rain" or "Huang Meiyu" because plums in the south of the Yangtze River are yellow and ripe. After mid-June, the rain belt remained in the Jianghuai basin, which is Meiyu.
Seasonal causes of plum rain
Every year from late April to early May, cold air from the north and warm air from the south meet in South China, forming a quasi-static front in South China. By the end of May, the influence of warm air was strengthened, and the quasi-static front moved northward to Jianghuai area, becoming the quasi-static front of Jianghuai (also known as Meiyu front). Because the warm air from the south carries a lot of water vapor, when it meets the cold air mass, it will produce a lot of convection activities. Because of the equal influence of cold and warm air during this period, the front stays in Jianghuai area. Typical plum rains generally "enter plum blossoms" in the middle and late June, and bloom in early to mid-July. Meiyu refers to the rainy days before plum blossom, which generally starts in mid-April and lasts for about half a month.
How to prevent mildew at home in rainy season
1, mildew removal in bedroom
Need to be reminded that when people are cleaning, in addition to the common mold in the bathroom and kitchen, they should also pay attention to the bedroom and living room. Because people spend 6 to 8 hours in the bedroom every day, and the family often stays in the living room, especially in houses with poor lighting and facing south, we should pay more attention to mildew prevention. In the bedroom, the bed should be well ventilated and there should be as few things under it as possible. To remove mildew from bedding, you can dry it with air conditioner. The air conditioner is set at about 25℃, the quilt, mattress and sofa are close to the air conditioner, and the timer is set for about 6 hours every day. Because air conditioning can reduce humidity and dry rooms and quilts.
2. Close the window in time
The important time to close the window against moisture is every morning and evening. It is recommended to close the windows, especially those facing south and southeast, to avoid serious penetration of water vapor into every corner of the room. Of course, on sunny days, it is also very effective to sunbathe bask in the quilt in time, or to ventilate and clean it carefully according to the weather conditions.
3, air conditioning dehumidification
Reasonable use of air conditioning. Use a dehumidifier or turn on the air conditioner from time to time to extract water from the air. The moisture in the air conditioner accumulates and it is easy to get moldy. After the air conditioner is stopped, mold will multiply in large quantities, and it should be cleaned up in time before use every year.
4. Newspapers and washing powder are moldy
Stick the old newspaper on the wet floor or glass, and the floor or glass will soon dry. Stuffed in the closet or shoes can also dehumidify well, but remember to replace it in time. Pour the washing powder on the plastic film or dehumidification box and put it in the corner where dehumidification is needed. Washing powder will agglomerate if it absorbs enough water, but it can also be used to wash clothes after agglomeration.
