Cao Cao, Sun Quan, Sima Yi and Liu Bei, who are the important figures leading the Three Kingdoms?
There are only four important leaders leading the development of the Three Kingdoms: Cao Cao, Sun Quan, Sima Yi and Liu Bei. But who is the most resourceful person and the biggest dark horse among these four people?
Cao Cao is indeed a very talented leader, and he has a set of his own strategies whether he is leading troops to fight or governing the country. During the Three Kingdoms period, there were two other people who had the ability to "hold the emperor to make the princes": He Jin and Dong Zhuo. In the early days of the Three Kingdoms, the most powerful soldier was He Jin, but he was killed by ten generals, which eventually led to chaos in Beijing. Dong Zhuo took the opportunity to lead the troops into Beijing and became the most powerful ruler, but both times ended in failure.
After Cao Cao came to power, he learned the lessons of these two men, quickly consolidated the political power, and gathered a large group of talents around him to "support the emperor and establish ministers", which proved Cao Cao's leadership and ability to govern the country. Moreover, in the case of disparity in strength, breaking Yuan Shao and establishing his own hegemony is enough to illustrate Cao Cao's command ability. Although Cao Cao is the most failed leader in the Three Kingdoms, he is like Xiao Qiang who can't be killed, making a comeback again and again, which is a mentality that all the leaders in the Three Kingdoms can't match. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that Cao Cao is a "hero in troubled times and a minister who manages the country well".
Personally, I think Sun Quan has no talent. Sun Quan took over the power from Sun Ce, which was consistent with the people at home and acted as a barrier to the Yangtze River abroad. With the strength of the Three Kingdoms at that time, no general had the ability to cross the river and break Wu Dong. Sun Quan is only the official second generation. He just needs to develop Wu Dong steadily without worrying about invasion.
The greatest feature of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the use of all kinds of scheming and calculations. I think Sima Yi is the best in this respect. In the struggle with Zhuge Liang, Sima Yi was defeated and almost killed by Zhuge Liang, but she finally won. Moreover, Sima Yi gained the relieving power by cheating when Cao Shuang was old, which made Sima family steal the Cao regime and laid the foundation for Sima's later establishment of the Western Jin Dynasty. Zhuge Liang can't compare with these great events, and can't compare with these great talents and great plans. Zhuge Liang's talent is limited to marching and fighting, and the strategy of governing the country is even worse than Sima Yi.
Liu Bei is really a talent. Although some people commented: "Liu Bei is popular and talented, but in the end, the country was destroyed, and friends and generals around him failed to keep it." From the perspective of employing and retaining people, it is really powerful, but it can't be said to be better than Cao Cao and Sima Yi. Is it called "the best"? "
Throughout the history of Liu Bei's struggle, he is definitely a typical struggle from the bottom to the throne step by step. His own surname is Liu, but he is only an uncle. He has no military power, no land in Zhou Jun, no money and materials, and leads the three brothers to survive in the cracks of various forces. He stayed in Yuan Shao's place for a period of time, treated Cao Cao with hypocrisy, and gained Liu Biao's sympathy. However, when Zhao Yun saved the young master with thousands of troops, he bought people's hearts by throwing children and let Zhao Yun fight the world with him.
His success lies in being good at employing people, forbearing and persevering. He visited Zhuge Liang and was flexible in pursuing talents. He took surprisingly, when dealing with Liu Zhang, he dared to make moves, which also showed his sophistication and cruelty.
After Liu Bei succeeded, there were two turning points. The first one is Guan Yu's careless loss of Jingzhou, but not his careless loss of Jingzhou. Guan Yu is really unsatisfactory in strategy and temper. Sun Quan came to ask for relatives and said, "How did Tigress marry your son?" It is reasonable to refuse, but it is not appropriate to insult people like this. Moreover, when Guan Yu entrusted Jingzhou to him, he forgot Zhuge Liang's entrustment: "North refused Cao Cao and East refused Sun Quan." If Guan Yu acts according to this character, he will be able to keep Jingzhou.
Second, after Cao Pi proclaimed himself emperor, Liu Bei should not be eager to proclaim himself emperor. But to raise the banner of the big fellow, unite with Wu Dong in the name of defending the Eastern Han Dynasty, and crusade against Xelloss together. Zhao Yun is right in this respect.
Only then did Liu Bei have a tragic battle of Yiling and eventually died in Baidicheng. But he trusted Zhuge Liang, who stabilized the Shu regime. Even after Zhuge Liang's death, Liu Chan was able to maintain Shu for 30 years, which also shows that Liu Bei laid a good foundation for Shu and won a number of talents to govern the country.
So the most powerful one should be Liu Bei, the real grass-roots attacker, the biggest dark horse in the Three Kingdoms.
