The Daci Rock in Hangzhou not only has beautiful mountains, but also has a "hanging temple". What is so unique about it?
Hangzhou Daciyan is located in the south of Jiande City, 25 kilometers away from Jiande City. Due to the prosperity of Buddhist culture here, it attracts countless Buddhist disciples or pilgrims to visit. In addition, the scenery here is beautiful, the mountains are dangerous and there are temples, so the temples appear to be more spiritual. The combination of the two also creates a unique Attractions: Daciyan Scenic Area. Because the mountains and rocks in the south of the Yangtze River are high, there are valleys and rivers everywhere, and many of them flow down from the cliffs. Such a unique landscape makes people immersed in it, mesmerized, and unable to extricate themselves.
Since this scenic spot is famous for its Buddhist culture, there are naturally many traces of Buddhist activities. It is famous all over the world mainly because of the "Number One Natural Standing Buddha in the Country" here. It is mainly named because the main peak of Daciyan resembles a Buddha statue. The height of this statue reaches 147 meters. Looking from the bottom up, it looks like a towering Buddha. The head alone is already 41 meters high. The entire Buddha has clear facial features and lifelike image. It is purely natural and has no signs of artificial carving or modification. It is a miracle of nature. Only the uncanny workmanship of nature can create such a delicate and huge Buddha statue.
There are not many major attractions in Daciyan, but almost all of them can be visited in one day. For example, there are cliff-high cave buildings on Daci Rock. This building is a temple where gods and Buddhas are enshrined. Built against the mountain, the entire temple and cave are integrated into one. The height is about three meters, the length is sixty meters, and the width is twenty meters. Half of it is suspended between the rocks, and the other half is suspended high in the air. It is similar to the Hanging Temple in Shanxi. It's a dangerous thing. Standing in Qingfeng Pavilion, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains.
Due to the steep cliffs, it is not recommended for tourists with weak hearts to climb the mountain. The Ksitigarbha Hall at Daciyan alone can scare away climbers. Due to the layout of the cliff here, there is a stone fence that stretches outward and continues. A unique scene is formed: Tianzhan Yundu. This Tianzhan Yundu was actually built artificially, but the theme was built based on the natural rock trend, so the shape is natural and there is no artificial trace at all. Standing on Tianzhan Yundu and looking at the scenery of Daciyan Mountains, you can have an unobstructed view, and you will feel like "the cliffs under your feet are about to collapse".
Abandoning the rock temples, there is also a valley and waterfall. Because there is a lake on the mountain rock, named Yuhua Lake, the lake water overflowed and began to flow downstream. The flow was originally strong, but it was blocked by the mountain rock. After nine twists and turns, the flow of water here gradually decreases, forming a thin stream. In some places, due to the large stone openings, waterfalls will form. Standing on the mountain, you can see the twists and turns of the mountains and rivers, whether large or small, straight or curved, all forming the landscape of valleys, rivers and waterfalls here.
