The Historical Origin of Wenfeng Pagoda

Wenfeng Tower, 38.65 meters high, 40 meters around the tower foundation and 2.5 meters thick. Brick wood eaves, octagonal tower standing on the round lotus base, lotus petals 7 layers, staggered up and down, stretching left and right, bearing the tower body on the top and protecting the tower foundation on the bottom. The tower has five double eaves, which increase step by step from bottom to top.

Wenfeng Pagoda was originally named Tianning Temple Pagoda. The temple was built in the year of Sui Renshou (60 1-604), and the pagoda was built in the second year of Guangxu in the later Zhou Dynasty (952). It's been over a thousand years. The tower was rebuilt in Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.

1772 (in the thirty-seventh year of Qing Qianlong), Huang Bangning, then the magistrate of Anyang, presided over the restoration of Tianning Temple Tower. After liberation, the people's government carried out two renovations and listed them as key cultural relics protection units in Henan Province.

The Wenfeng Pagoda of Tianning Temple in Anyang is a typical stupa. The seven-story lotus seat rests on the platform and bears the tower body. At the top of the tower is the Tasha, with a height of 10 meter. The spacious tower can accommodate more than 200 people.

This platform, Lotus Tower, Liao Tower and Tibetan Pagoda, is rare in the world. Coupled with the exquisite relief of Buddhist stories between the eight panlong pillars under the tower, it is no wonder that celebrities and sages of all ages are full of praise after boarding.

Tashi has a lake with a bridge in the middle. Looking at the lake near the tower, it seems that the rainbow is lying in the clear water; The bridge looks at the tower, and the shadow is like a dream. If you look east at Wenfeng overpass, it may mean that Buddha's light shines and purple gas comes from the east.
