Qiantang Shen Zhaolin wrote it in the Song Bin Hall in Meiyuan, Wuxi, Jiangsu;
This couplet is also hung in Li Ka-shing’s office in Hong Kong;
The connotation of the couplet:
“To make high aspirations, to make moderate fate, and to enjoy inferior blessings”:
It means to have great ambitions, only seek moderate fate, and live an ordinary life;
"Stand up high, sit down low, and act leniently":
It means that you should look far-sighted when looking at problems, be low-key in life, and leave room for things to do.
