What are the characteristics of Meiyu weather?

"Meiyu" is a kind of weather unique to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the southern Huaihe River Basin, the hills of Zhejiang and Fujian, and northern Guangdong. During the plum rainy season, there are often dense clouds, continuous rain, and sometimes sunny and sometimes rainy weather that often lasts for about a month. Because this is the time when the plums turn yellow and ripe, people call this weather "Meiyu" weather.
