Zhong Wei replied, "What a big house! What's the point of not beating the enemy?"

The new 15th regiment launched four consecutive offensives against Kaoshantun, all of which failed. The main forces of the 87th and 88th divisions of Chiang Kai-shek arrived from Dehui and Nong 'an after receiving the telegram for help. If we don't leave, the 5 th division may really be eaten by the anti-encirclement. Just then, Lin Biao's third telegram arrived. After reading the telegram, a staff officer asked Mr. Zhong for instructions: "We have to go if we don't leave this time!"

But Zhong Wei was furious and slapped the table: "If anyone dares to take this word away again, I will shoot him on the spot!"

At this moment, the action of the 5th Division in Kaoshantun has successfully attracted two main forces of Chiang Kai-shek. Undoubtedly, this move created an opportunity for the main force in northern Manchuria to wipe out the enemy in the movement. After learning the situation, Liu Zhen reported the situation to the headquarters for the first time. Lin Biao immediately changed the battle plan, and ordered 1 to be inserted vertically to the east of Nong 'an and the west of Dehui, thus cutting off Chiang Kai-shek's back road. The other two divisions of the 2nd Longitudinal Division are responsible for blocking the enemy reinforcements, and ensuring that the 5th Division can successfully wipe out the enemy troops in Kaoshantun.
