UFJ cup rule

The rules of UFJ Cup are as follows:

The competition includes group stage, 1/8 final, 1/4 final, semi-final and final. The J 1 League team that participated in the AFC Champions League that year directly advanced to the final of 1/4 as the seed team. Except for the group match and the finals, the other rounds are decided in the form of two rounds of home and away games, and the rules of comparing the total goals of the two rounds before comparing the goals of the away games are adopted in the two rounds of home and away games.

If the winner can't be decided, both sides must finish 15 minutes overtime in the first and second half, and the one with more goals in overtime wins. The rule of the number of away goals does not apply to extra-time goals. If the outcome is still undecided, the two sides will decide the outcome by punishing each other on penalties.

The final was held in Saitama 2002 Gymnasium, and the champion was decided by a single round. If the winner cannot be decided, both sides must complete 15 minutes of overtime in the first half and the second half, and the one with more goals in overtime wins; If the outcome is still undecided, the two sides will decide the outcome by punishing each other on penalties.

In the group stage, *** 16 teams participated, which consisted of J 1 League teams that did not participate in the AFC Champions League that year and two teams that were upgraded to J 1 League the year before last. The group match is divided into four groups, with four teams in each group and four teams playing 12 double round robin. The top two in the group advance 1/8.

If two or more teams have equal points, they will be ranked in the following order (if the points are the same, there is a ranking rule): a. Mutual recording (difference in points, difference in goal difference, difference in total goals and difference in goals); B. target differences; C. total number of targets; D. penalty shootout (if only two teams score the same point); E. Level playing field; F. draw lots.

UFJ Cup Group Match Rules:

The group stage of UFJ Cup is divided into two stages: group stage and knockout stage. The UFJ Cup group match is divided into four groups, each with four teams. Each team plays one round at home and away, and six rounds at home and away.

The scoring rules for group matches are the same as those for other competitions. If you win a game, you will get three points; if you draw a game, you will get one point; if you lose a game, you will get zero point. After the group stage, the top two in each group will advance to the knockout stage.

The rules of the knockout are slightly different. First of all, the knockout round adopts the home and away two-turn system, and the team with the highest total score advances to the next round. If the total score is the same, it will enter overtime, and after the overtime, it will still be a draw, which is a penalty shootout.
