Quyang is the hometown of sculpture. The rocks in the south of the city are pure, tough and lubricated, and its rich and colorful resources create unique advantages for its craftsmen to display their skills. Quyang stone carving not only lost the mysterious and hazy rough spirit in Wei and Jin Dynasties, but also inherited the natural plump, solemn and beautiful shape in Tang and Song Dynasties. Lu Jinqiao, a contemporary master of arts and crafts in China, enriched the stone carving skills by means of tooth carving and wood carving.

Quyang has three carving groups, more than 2,600 carving enterprises and stalls, and more than 65,438+10,000 carving employees, with an annual output value of more than 5 billion yuan. According to the market demand, it invested 500 million yuan to build the Oriental Sculpture City, which was listed as a key project in the province. At present, there are more than 400 enterprises, and the sculpture square with an investment of more than 40 million yuan is under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. After years of operation, up to now, Quyang sculpture has formed "one city, one line and three communities" (one city: Oriental Stone Carving City; First line: along Quxin Highway; Development pattern of three communities: Yangping, Wende and Dangcheng. There are 2 carving groups, 1200 more carving enterprises and booths, and tens of thousands of carving artists, with an annual output value of 400 million yuan. Recently, a "carving corridor" covering an area of 1 1,000 mu was planned on both sides of the highway from the county to Yangping. With the approval of the province, it is currently under construction and can accommodate more than 50 carving and plate enterprises. The "Sculpture Art Palace" with an investment of more than 5 million yuan has been put into use.
