Language: Mainly Mandarin, Minnan is very common, and Hakka is also used in some areas.

Weather: It’s hotter in the south and cooler in the mountains, so bring your own umbrella. The coldest temperature in flatland is about 6 degrees Celsius in winter, and the hottest temperature is 38 degrees Celsius in summer.

Clothing: mainly light-weight, but it will drizzle in the north in winter, so a raincoat is often needed. The temperature in Alishan is relatively low, so you need to bring a jacket.

Voltage: Taiwan's voltage is 110 volts, 60 cycles, alternating current. The socket is a flat-head two-pin type. Passengers should bring their own conversion plugs and transformers.
