When the Japanese invaded the south, Master was frightened and determined to be a disciple, just in case, so he became the first person to spread Shaolin to the south. Five disciples were accepted: Shifa Chan, Shi, Zhuang, Zhuang Shunlai and Lin Jinju, all of whom were 50 disciples of Shaolin, and the number of them exceeded 10,000.
After the war, Singapore hosted Song Hui, the abbot of Lianshan Shuanglin Temple. He was old. Master Gao Shen came to preside over Shuanglin Temple on 1947, following the orders of Yishan Zen. Witnessing an antique jungle, the war was in disrepair and was devastated. It is difficult for sages to start a business, but it is not easy for future generations to stick to it. With his perseverance and wisdom, he made a wide range of good relationships, was deeply admired by Huang, a layman, and received enthusiastic response and support from all sides. After three reconstructions of Shuanglin Temple, this magnificent ancient temple, a tourist attraction, has taken on a new look, and it still stands, thanks to the brilliance and extensive kindness of the Buddha.
Master Gao Shen rebuilt Sara three times, resplendent and magnificent, adding luster to Foshan and achieving fruitful results. 1954, in accordance with Shanxi Zen, he was promoted to the abbot of Shuanglin Temple in Lianshan, Singapore, with Master Tan Chan as the supervisor. He held an honor ceremony, celebrated the successful reconstruction of Shuanglin Temple for three times, and held a dharma meeting for the Buddha Lohan. At the same time, we are committed to promoting Wushu and guiding students to organize Wushu fitness clubs such as Shaohua Mountain and Shaoxiong Mountain. 1955 went to Penang to build Shuangqing Temple. 1956, Penang Shaolin Wushu Fitness Club was founded again, aiming at inspiring ordinary teenagers, cultivating their own self-cultivation, establishing good moral character, engaging in physical and mental entertainment activities and serving the social crowd.
1957, to commemorate the 2300th anniversary of Qu Yuan's death, more than 30 local poets, together with two Hong Kong poets, held an elegant gathering of poets on the Dragon Boat Festival, and organized the Singapore News Agency with a positive attitude, taking unity as a friend of literature and helping others.
The Buddha Washing Festival in April of Lunar calendar 1958 coincided with the 60th anniversary of Shuanglin Temple. Master Gao Shen personally presided over the preaching of the precepts, and with the help of Uncle Yue and Master Qing's nephew, more than 500 people converted to disciples. This is the first preaching ceremony in the history of Buddhism in Singapore, which makes the Buddha lantern spread endlessly and is very solemn. In the same year, Master Gao Shen founded Nanyang Shaolin Wushu Association in Shuanglin Temple.
1960, Master Gao Shen became silent, and his apprentice Master Yong Chan helped to manage the temple affairs.
