A city with warmth | Changzhi
When I first arrived in high school, I took a broken speaker belonging to a classmate and played "Return" on a loop, singing along with Longjing about brotherhood. But was it for my friends in junior high school or for the newcomers in high school? Friends, I probably forgot.
Later, when I was studying outside, my ears with headphones fell in love with a tepid song - "Story Changzhi". It was the first time I heard a song about Changzhi, Shanxi, on an APP. What’s more, I was in Nanchang, more than a thousand kilometers away from home. Listening to Wang Zhenxin’s gentle voice, I felt for the first time that Changzhi could be so interesting.
Story of Changzhi - Wang Zhenxin

Changzhi, a medium-sized city, is located in Shangdang, surrounded by Taihang Mountain and Taiyue Mountain. The basin, at 35°49′-37°08′ north latitude, forms a typical warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate, with no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer throughout the year, with rain and heat in the same season. So some people say that Changzhi is "the south of the north and the north of the south."
This description is probably the most appropriate, with four distinct seasons, neither hot nor cold.
The same is true for people in the city. Kindness and honesty are the biggest characteristics of Changzhi people. There is no evil intention. It is hard to tell who nourishes whom between their gentle character and this gentle town. It is such a small town, slowly following the wheel of time, neither arrogant nor impetuous.
But I can’t tell you that there are no bad people in Changzhi. There is a saying that there are bastards in each class in proportion. As my high school history teacher said, Changzhi also has its "unruly people". Other than these, Changzhi will not disappoint.

Before high school, I didn’t go to Changzhi city very much, because my family lived half an hour’s drive from the city, and we only got to know each other well after three years of high school it.
The Shangdangmen in the lyrics is right at the front door of the high school. It was originally the gate of Shangdang County Office in the Sui Dynasty. It was destroyed by war in the Northern Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. There is a bell tower on the left and a drum tower on the right. One of the bell and drum towers is called "Wind Chi" and the other is "Cloud Movement". . It can be said that it is a high-lying place in Changzhi, and it is in the city center, so it can be said to be a geomantic treasure.
Going through Shangdangmen is Changzhi No. 2 Middle School. With its unique Feng Shui topography, this century-old school is prosperously developing.

Bayi Square and Chenghuang Temple are the two most crowded places, and they are also the two favorite places to go to in high school. Bayi Square in summer, City God Temple in winter.
The "Two Dragons Playing with Pearls" in Changzhi's Bayi Square is cleverly designed. There is a high pole lamp in the east, west and south, just like the three giant dragons on Bayi Road, Taihang East and West Streets. The two high-pole lights are like two dragons in the sky, the control room is like a dragon's mouth, the lawn is like a dragon's body, and the fountain is like a pearl.
Every night, this is a good place for citizens to have fun, whether they are walking, chatting or playing. The spacious and flat square is the world of skates. Groups of young people are stepping on the fast wheels, walking through the square with people coming and going, and forming a sea of joy with a few groups of aunts dancing in the square.
To the south of the square is the bustling Qiaobei. The snack street is crowded with people. There is a restaurant there that makes good French fries. This is what I discovered with my classmates in high school.
Speaking of snacks, we have to mention the Chenghuang Temple. You can probably find Changzhi’s snacks here. (In the previous articles, I mentioned lotus seed soup, which was found in the Chenghuang Temple)
I had a hot pot meal at the Chenghuang Temple on weekend nights, and went downstairs to get a cup of hot lotus seed soup. I had to drink it again. I took a few skewers of grilled gluten and sat on the stone pillar next to the gate. It was so comfortable that I couldn't help but say "date" several times.
In addition to food, there are also various small shops, which attract more people to visit. Even in winter, there will be many people relying on each other to breathe and warm their hands. For young couples, this is indeed a place to fall in love.

In this northern city, I like its winter best.
Even after the accumulation of spring, summer and autumn, the cold in Changzhi winter will not be particularly severe. The autumn leaves have all fallen and the north wind has begun to rise. It is almost winter at this time.
The first snow must be prepared for children. Snowball fights and snowmen are made. This happy figure really brings a lot of excitement to the otherwise quiet winter. Perhaps, this snow is for everyone. I like to wear thick clothes and a scarf, and step on the snow to make a "squeaking" sound, which makes people feel particularly ethereal.
When I was a child, as long as it snowed, I could play outside all day long. I would always play until my whole body was wet and it was extremely cold before I went home. At that time, I was frail and sickly. I remember several times my parents took me to the doctor in a neighboring village to get injections. After a lot of crying and getting an injection, I would definitely get a gadget, something to play with, or something to eat. of.
There seems to have been no heavy snowfall in the winter of the past two years, which makes it less fun for children in the north. After all, I rolled around in the snow.
After I went to school, I would think of that sentence before every winter vacation, "When you close the city in heavy snow, I will walk back in the snow."

I was asked what kind of food I should write about. I thought about it and decided on the following.
Changzhi cured donkey meat, Changzi fried cakes, Changzi pig head meat, Tunliu fried buns, Huguan saliva pork liver, Licheng donkey meat dumplings, Pingshun stuffed shredded vegetables, Xiangyuan mixed soup vegetarian dumplings, Wuxiang jujube cake, Qinxian rice, Qinyuan noodles, Changzhi tofu dishes, Lucheng pancakes
I said enough is not enough, there are still more, Yincheng pig soup, Korean spicy hotpot , Huguan Mutton Soup, Sanhe Noodles, Su Huo Shao... No, let's go home early during the winter vacation.
