When does chestnut mature?
Castanea mollissima is widely sold in the market in autumn. The flowering period is generally from April to June, and the fruiting period is at 8- 10 and 9- 10 when the fruit is ripe, that is, when it is on the market. At the beginning of May, chestnuts began to grow rapidly because of the warmer weather. From late May to early June, chestnuts began to blossom, and from September to 10, chestnuts were mostly mature and the pulp was well formed.
When the chestnuts are ripe, most of them will fall naturally, and some of them will fall after being beaten by bamboo poles. Generally, chestnuts that fall naturally are the best mature chestnuts, and also have the best taste and variety.
