Before the listing of new bonds, the market value of positions is 0, and after listing, the market value is the product of the current price of new bonds and the number of positions.

When the cost of holding positions is greater than the current price of new bonds, selling new bonds will lead to losses; When the cost of holding positions is less than the current price of new bonds, selling new bonds will generate income. Of course, after the new bonds are listed, investors can also consider converting the new bonds into shares of listed companies.

The specific operation process of new debt subscription is as follows:

1, securities account opening. If you want to buy new bonds, you must have a securities account. Therefore, the first step in purchasing new bonds is to open a securities account, and bring my valid ID card to the business outlets of securities companies to open an account, or to open an account through the securities company official website. There is no requirement for the value of the new bond market, and new bonds can be purchased the next day after opening an account.

2. Know the time of new debt subscription. After opening a securities account, investors can pay attention to the newly listed new bonds and the corresponding subscription time. The subscription time of new bonds is stipulated by the company, and usually an announcement will be made in advance to inform everyone.

3. Buy new debt. During the subscription period of new bonds, log in to the brokerage APP, enter the code, price and quantity of convertible bonds according to the system prompt, and submit the subscription after confirmation. The denomination of convertible bonds is usually 100 yuan, and the minimum unit for purchasing convertible bonds is 1 lot, that is, 10 convertible bonds, that is, 1 lot is 1000 yuan, excluding handling fees.

4. Pay by winning the lottery. To buy convertible bonds, you need to wait for the lottery. Generally, the winning results will be announced on T+2. Payment can only be made after the investor wins the lottery. If there is a lottery, you can pay according to the lottery number in time. Successful payment means successful purchase of new bonds.

After the new bonds are successfully redeemed, they can be traded after the new bonds are listed. Usually, the price of new bonds will rise on the first day of listing, so many investors will choose to sell their bonds on the first day of listing to earn the face price difference.
