Obviously it is enough to have the Eastern Tomb of the Qing Dynasty, why did the Western Tomb of the Qing Dynasty pop up?
Because Emperor Yongzheng began to choose his mausoleum after he ascended the throne, he originally decided to bury his mausoleum near the Eastern Tomb of the Qing Dynasty. However, due to certain reasons, the construction of the entire mausoleum could not be completed, so Emperor Yongzheng ordered to find a suitable place to build his own mausoleum in the surrounding areas of Beijing. At that time, Emperor Yongzheng actually wanted to place his mausoleum near Jiufeng Chaoyang Mountain. However, although this place was very large at the time, it did not have complete facilities. At the same time, the soil in this place contained sand and gravel, so there was no Methods to meet the requirements for building a mausoleum. So after Yongzheng discovered this reason, he once again ordered to find a suitable place to build his own mausoleum in the surrounding areas of Beijing. After the efforts of relevant personnel, it was discovered that Yongning Mountain in Hebei Province met the requirements of Emperor Yongzheng. In addition, there is another theory that Emperor Yongzheng knew that his position was unfair, and he was unwilling to be buried with his father, Emperor Kangxi. So he chose to find another place to build his mausoleum. But after all, this statement is a rumor spread among the people and has not been recorded in history books, so it does not have a certain degree of credibility. The Qing Xiling Mausoleum is actually located more than 120 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing and belongs to Baoding, Hebei Province. In this mausoleum, there are 4 monarchs, 9 queens and more than 80 princes and nobles hidden in the general palace. Because this mausoleum is oriented to the west, it is called the Mausoleum of the Western Qing Dynasty. From then on, there were two royal tombs in the entire Qing Dynasty. During the period of Emperor Qianlong, Emperor Qianlong chose his mausoleum in the Eastern Tomb of Qing Dynasty according to the corresponding system, while Emperor Jiaqing was buried in the Western Tomb of Qing Dynasty. In fact, Emperor Daoguang himself should be in the Eastern Tomb of the Qing Dynasty. However, because his mausoleum was not completely built and leaked frequently, Emperor Daoguang discovered this phenomenon before he died and was very angry and chose to abandon the mausoleum. It was moved to the Xiling area of Qing Dynasty and rebuilt. Whether it is the Eastern Tomb of the Qing Dynasty or the Western Tomb of the Qing Dynasty, the scenery in these places is very beautiful.
