In Jianyang, the two academies restored and founded by Zhu Xi are Hanquan Jingshe and Kaoting Academy.

1. Cold Spring Fine House

Cold Spring Fine House was built in Song Xiaozong Road for six years (117). In September (1169) of the fifth year of the main road, Zhu Xi's 7-year-old mother, Mrs. Zhu, was ill, and Zhu Xi was 4 years old.

in the first month of the following year, in order to find a resting place for his loving mother who lived together, he chose a place with Cai Yuanding, a proud student who is good at Feng Shui. Finally, it was selected in Hanquanwu, which is located in Chongtaili, Jianyang (now Jukou Town) and the sun of Tianhu Lake in the back of the mountain. Zhu Xi buried his mother on the bank of Tianhu Lake (now behind Mafu Seed Farm) in order to make the landscape nymphs accompany the dead forever.

2. Kaoting Academy

Kaoting Academy is located in Kaoting Village, three kilometers southwest of Jianyang District, Nanping City, Fujian Province. It is the place where Zhu Xi, a philosopher of the Southern Song Dynasty, lived and gave lectures in his later years.

In the third year of Shaoxi (1192), Zhu Xi built a residence here, because there were many people from all directions who came to study. As for the east of the residence, it was called Zhulin Jingshe, and later renamed Cangzhou Jingshe. In the first year of Baoqing (1225), Jianyang County ordered Liu Kezhuang to build a memorial temple, and in the fourth year of Chunyou (1244), it was named as an academy, and the imperial book "Kaoting Academy" was inscribed.

At present, there is only one stone tablet square at the entrance of the Academy, which was built in the 1th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1531). The academy bears green hills and is surrounded by water on three sides, with beautiful scenery. In the Song Dynasty, students from all directions traveled thousands of miles to study in Kaoting, forming a "Kaoting School" with great influence in academic history.
