Professor Bai Chong from the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Shanghai Changhai Hospital led the department team to successfully complete the first V7 electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy (ENB) operation in this hospital, and successfully took a tissue sample for 1 patient with multiple pulmonary nodules, challenging the 6mm tiny pulmonary nodules located under the pleura and beside the esophagus. It is the first time to apply electromagnetic navigation bronchoscope (ENB), small ultrasonic probe (R-EBUS), focusing microscope technology (pCLE), rapid field cytology and pathological evaluation (ROSE) to lung diagnosis in China, which indicates that Changhai Hospital has successfully developed a new technology of early diagnosis and treatment of lung with international advanced level, bringing good news to patients.
